I don't think that's such a good idea danhezee. It's currently nigh impossible to get people just to votekick on most servers even when the subject of the kick is a speedhacker or something similar. Voting for team switching would cause perpetually imbalanced teams. For example, if blue were overpowered and I wanted to switch to even things up I would not only have to motivate x% of the server to vote for my switch but I would also be faced with most of the server (the imbalanced team) wanting to win. Tell me, if you're winning how willing are you to give up the numbers advantage?

That has happened since the game came out. I would say it is one of the most aggravating aspect forms of cheating. I would like see team switching be voting on before a player is allowed to swap sides.

Any and all enemy structures are fair game.

So yes, if you screw up a green fort as a blue, you're doing nothing wrong. It's green's problem for not defending their stuff better.

And teamswitching to move intel... I can't say I've seen many examples of that. Besides, I like raiding large strongholds. The multiple rooms and passages aid raiders by providing cover. Sometimes raiding a fort is easier than grabbing intel that's in the open.

Sup, Kono here.

Ive discovered a new form of cheating we'll call it "TehJazz" form cheating on mat^2's server.

We have a player "TehJazz", he plays on blue team, but hangs with green's team holds a green block to show he is with them, then grabs intel and moves it to a green stronghold.

He switches to green and the game continues.

He claims there are no rules and you can do whatever switching teams, greifing whatever. So I switch teams to greif their stronghold and get kicked?

Apparently there are no rules so long as it favors the greens.....

"A simple line of code"? Oh boy...if it would be that easy...
Your idea of reporting URLs is nice (as long they won't get reported publicly so everyone can see them) but the main problem is the technical one.

Ah, perhaps I was unclear, I don't mean reporting hackers, but instead reporting websites and URLs of people distributing hacks. After that it's a simple line of code then to automatically ban people who attempt to log in to a game using the reported hacks.

It's very simple, the creator is clearly motivated to remove them, so all he needs is to be pointed to which hacks are being used. If there were a program setup to reward people for reporting hacks, (say, increase the ammo cap, or go the TF2 route and add hats, maybe just a fancy tag on your forum name or whatever, some reward) then one by one the hacks can be taken out, and hackers automatically IP banned. Once the websites distributing the hacks have been reported, then an update can be released blocking them along with the regular update. Ideally, the only hackers left will be people who made their own, because any website distributing a hack will find itself being outdated within a few days.

I figure this will be an excellent way to get rid of hacking programs, since it will motivate people to seek them out and report them, rather than the slow process of waiting for them to be discovered.
