Ok, try reinstalling AoS. If that doesn't work, then you can try connecting manually. First try reinstalling. Make sure you use the latest version.

when i join I get an error message saying "could not open current executable"

Guys, easy way to clean register is to download CCleaner as Jackster mentioned. Instructions:

1. Uninstall cheat engine from your computer
2. Open Ccleaner. There should be an option about "Clean registry".
3. Run it, and then just delete the stuff that pop ups, there is that button "Fix these registry errors" or something
4. Now you have succesfully uninstalled cheat engine and its registry files.

I can't join either. I reinstalled the game and it worked the FIRST time, then I left and i have the same issue as CoconutCake

Start>Run>regedit>Click the + on My Computer if it isnt done already>Click the + on HK_CLASSES_ROOT if it isnt done already>delete the .CT folder NOT THE .CTT FOLDER! ONLY THE .CT FOLDER if it isnt there well i got no idea sorry :P

Old thread, but I'll mention that in some cases, having Cheat Engine installed affects this. If you have Cheat Engine, uninstall it and clean registry of its files

I cant join any servers when ever I do it says "Server Timeout:version mismatch or map transfer fail "

I changed the browser, and the display is 32bit, so is there an another solution to this problem becuase I really want to play,

I've discovered running the game in windows xp compatibility mode fixes this issue. Now I'm getting the grey screen bug though.

I'm getting this as well. I tried changing the resolution to native and changing my player name in the config file but that doesn't seem to help. I also tried launching the game in IE9 with no success.

When it seems like I get into a game, I get a a full black screen and just this error message: "client.exe has stopped working" Also, "could not connect to server" will sometimes pop up. I've never gotten grey sea, so is it just me?
