Even after re-install and repair. Nothing going on today. Was fine last night. I'm using chrome btw.

PROTIP: if people are having problems posting servers youre going to have problems connecting to them.

Im having the same error,I tried with IE and Firefox and I tryied repair but I still get the error

i cant join any servers what-so-ever, it says "bad configuration or full game" well something close to that, and it also says other messages when i try to join a game

I'm not sure browsers have much to do with it.

I tried the repair, but now nothing shows up. Not even an error message. :(

^^ That just worked for me also. Ran repair and was able to get into the game on the first try, using firefox :)

It doesn't work with opera either.

What helped for me is using Google Chrome, and rerunning the installation, and choosing 'repair'. Perhaps it will help for you too :D

I started having this problem yesterday, after playing quite a lot with no problems at all. Now I can't connect at all through either Firefox 4 or IE9. I have reinstalled Ace of Spades and that makes no difference, the problem remains :(

I can't join any servers either and I can't host one on the computer I ahve. Does anybody have any server suggestions? The only server I could join was "snowniggers" and that server went offline. Help please.

same thing, i just downlaoded for first time a little bit ago so there shouldnt be a problem with my version. tried using chrome and IE

Am having the same issue. Tried FireFox 4, Chrome 10, IE 9, Safari 4, & Opera 11.10.

Since it says "Server Timeout: version mismatch or transfer fail" Maybe it means the server is not up-to-date?

Am new to the game, just saw it. So I can't really say.

Im using Chrome on windows 7.. I keep getting the same errors as you. Ive been unable to join any servers.

i get the same thing. oddly enough, i have been able to connect to many servers and actually play several hours so far. then randomly i get this message and am unable to join a server. happend last night, then after an hour of spamming server links it let me into a game.

I'm having decent success with Chrome if you really hate using IE, I think that maybe Firefox is causing issues.

What browser are you using? I've heard IE/Chrome is better than Firefox

Try using internet explorer, experiment with setting the client to be run as administrator, and just be persistent. I finally got it to work last night, and only through links on internet explorer.

I can't join any server at all on my desktop but I have no problems on my laptop, on the same internet connection.
Desktop is Windows XP SP3 with intel q6600 / geforce 8600GTS.
Laptop is Windows 7 with amd turion x2 ultra zm-84 / radeon 3100.
I'm not sure if all of that is relevant.

Same here, can't even join my own server even though other people can.

I swear, all servers are impossible to join. Any idea why?
