THE SCARED KID

When the video is posted on YouTube it’s an instant hit. Within days everyone is talking about it.

‘Have you seen the “Scared Kid” video?’

‘It’s really freaky.’

‘At first I thought it was a joke, but it looks so real.’

‘It’s definitely fake, but it’s still scary.’

‘I can’t watch it. It’s too frightening.’

‘Who is he? Do you know who he is? Who’s the Scared Kid?’

‘Nobody knows . . .’

Maybe it’s a clever trailer for a new horror film. Maybe it’s a viral ad for something. A new car or a chocolate bar? Or, just maybe, it’s real . . .

The thing is . . . There’s something about it. Something about the kid. No ten-year-old is that good an actor. And if someone’s playing a trick on him they are really sick and they’ve done way too good a job. Who would do that? Who would deliberately scare a young kid that much? And why has nobody come forward to explain it all?

Even after everything that happens, when the whole world changes forever, when everyone knows that the video wasn’t a hoax but the start of something terrible, people remember the Scared Kid. His poor frightened little face.

It’s like the last thing everyone saw before the lights went out.

He sits there at his computer talking into a webcam. It’s clear he’s been crying for ages: his eyes are red raw, his face streaked with tears. He’s shaking uncontrollably and his teeth are actually chattering. You can hear them. It would be funny if it wasn’t so weird. He can hardly get his words out; they tumble over each other.

‘I don’t know what to what to do I don’t know they’ve killed Danny and Eve they killed Danny and Eve Danny and and Eve and Eve and and . . . they’re outside now I can see them I can see them outside there are three mothers and a father . . .’

That’s the freakiest bit, the bit that sticks in people’s minds, that he calls them mothers and fathers.

‘They came to the house and they killed they killed Danny and Eve there’s blood omigod omigod there’s blood three mothers and a father they’ve killed Danny and Eve make them go away please make them go away . . .’

Then he picks up the webcam and turns it to point out of the window. It veers all over, lights smearing the screen. Now you can see the street. It’s night-time. The picture’s awful but you can just see these four people under the streetlights – three mothers and a father – three women and a man, and near to them what looks like a dead body. The body of a child.

There’s something not right about the people. They don’t look like actors. The way they’re standing. And one of them looks up at the camera and it’s the most awful thing . . . a dead-eyed look, like an animal. Are they actors? The picture’s so bad its hard to tell.

Then the Scared Kid’s voice again.

‘Can you see them? They’ve gone crazy – three mothers and a father – they’ve been trying to get back in into the house but Danny and Eve they’re dead they’re dead and I don’t know where my mum and dad are there’s nobody else here they’ve all gone it’s only me . . .’

The camera moves again. You can hear crashing and smashing in the background. Shouting. Now the kid’s back at his desk, staring into the lens, like he’s staring into the grave. Even more terrified than before. Shaking. Shaking.

‘I’m going to post the video Danny showed me how they killed him three mothers and a father I have to do it quickly I don’t know what’s happening I don’t think anyone will help me I think I’m going to die like like –’

And that’s the end of it.

Some kids do impressions of him, and post them. There’s a remix of the kid done to a death-metal soundtrack. But the thing is – the video is scary because it seems so real. People watch it over and over, trying to understand it. And when adults start dying, when it becomes clear that some terrible new disease is striking everybody over the age of fourteen, the Scared Kid begins to look like some kind of prophet.

Within a very short time ‘Scared Kid’ becomes the most watched YouTube clip ever. After a month it’s taken down. There’s a message saying it’s been removed. The day after that the whole YouTube site is taken down without any explanation, and the day after that the Internet stops working altogether.

It just disappears.

That’s when people finally realize that something serious is happening.

I am the muffin.
I have a pot helmet on.
I have a Shot gun and a Army of sniping muffins.
I eat zombies for breakfast :)

Markus, Honest abe and God Zilla were soaring through the skies riding on a giant 80 foot long twinkie, God Zilla called an airstrike To the location below where the Mega zombie was fighting Gordon Freeman and Chuck Norris, Suddenly the sky was filled with Snowballs! When the snowballs Gently touched the ground They Imploded into smurfs! The killer smurfs, armed with planes Threw their Stream-lined Planes into the zombie, Hearing the Mega Zombie's Cry, Serious Sam and Duke Nukem Parachuted from the Lego underneath, They managed to get the 1000 foot sausage and crushed the mega zombie from underneath, "Huzahh!!" William the conquerer roared!
Markus Lands the twinkie on the mega zombie's Corpse. "Goddamn i'm all outta twinkies!" Markus mumbles, finding tallahassee munching on what it remains of the 80 foot twinkie.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! SPRITE WAS INTHE CREAM FILLING!" Markus roared Then there was silence.

*Markus stares the flaming wreckage of both the plane and a hostess truck. Snowballs litter the ground. Markus regrets giving him the grenades he had made. They led to his demise. The rest of the group returns to see what had happened. The group waited until the fire died down to remove the body, or what was left of it, and put it into a grave they had dug. Everyone gathered around to mourn the death of Sprite. Using spare tools and a large rock Markus made a crude headstone. On the stone was...*

"Here lies Sprite, whom died fighting the horde of the undead. May this soldier's deeds be not forgotten. We die as we live. Sprite lived and died as a hero."

*After the group finished the funeral they began to explore the base. They took note of the fleets of planes, piles of ammo, and giant tanks of fuel. Markus was checking out a hangar full of missiles for fighter jets when Jinx ran in and told Markus he needed to see something. Jinx led Markus to a large hangar. Signs cover the building about high level access requirements. Jinx opens up the door and standing before him is a marvel of modern science. It is a Mech suit like Markus had only seen in science fiction stories. Markus takes a step toward the mech, but is stopped by Jinx. Jinx says...*

"Before you go and tinker with the mech, I need to know who this Alice is."

"Okay, Alice was my girlfriend at one time. It didn't work out. She was also once agent five for War Corps. I had a lot of missions with her, we were a good team. After the I left many agents also left War Corps. War Corps couldn't let this many agents, agents that know things, just leave. Many of us had to go into hiding and use our old names. Alice and I haven't seen each other for a long time. And that is all you need to know for now."

"Okay, well I guess that will do."

*Jinx throws Markus the keys to the mech's engines. Markus runs straight toward the mech. Jinx walks out of the hangar and leaves Markus to his tinkering.

It is now five years later. The base is now staffed with engineers and pilots that have come to settle in the Sprite colony. Houses have been built around the base and armed guards patrol the base. Planes fly in and out hourly. A monument stands in the middle of town. On it reads "We die as we live."

Driving up the road to the base is a convoy of military trucks. Manning one of the machine guns mounted on the trucks is Captain Sam. He had come a long way since the base was taken. He had gone from scared little kid to one of the best soldiers in the Long army. As soon as the trucks carrying ammo from a nearby trading group. As soon as the trucks pull up a runner tells Sam that the general wants to see him. He heads to the war office. Inside is the general, Markus Long. He greets Sam as he enters the building. Markus goes straight to business. He tells Sam about Jinx, who sends word from Hollywood were a clean up operation is going on. He also tells him of Pinky, who is out over seeing the building of relay towers for the Long army radio broadcast system. He also talks about Alice and her peace talks with other colonies.

He tells Sam that he can pick which one he will be sent to aid with, since Markus has to stay in Sprite colony to oversee the rest of the troops. Sam considers his options...*

--Okay, season finale type stuff here. I will most likely put out flashbacks and stuff like that for Markus before I send Sam off to aid in missions. Feel free to write about the missions before Sam arrives, this is still a community RP.--

Markus then travels to the twinkie factory to find to find one but to no avail there is how ever a horde of zombies and as they close in the door busts open and a new serviver bursts in with a chainsaw to destroy the horde and together they fight the horde and live then Markus who has lost alot of blood askes the strange for one last request and it is a twinkie so the stranger gets one but markus has become a zombie and the stranger throws the twinkie and markus eats it in mid air and slowly turns human he has found the cure and it is tasty but in the factory there is only 12 Twinkies left but there may still be hope after all

Markus Rushes to Sprite Then he removes the Glass shards and spiky debris from his Body,"M-m-m Markus..." Sprite mumbles his final words.He points behind Markus. The mega Zombie Still Stands!! Beside him layed a hostess truck, It picked it up. Markus as quick as a flash Darws his pistol and blind fires to his rear, The bullet travells through the mega zombie's eye, as the bullet comes out of the other end it's brain spills out. It still manages to Throw the hostess truck at him. He turns around and dodges the truck.The mega Zombie Collapses to the ground, Sprite was crussed horribly by the truck."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Markus yells, Then the truck Explodes. He Yells No Again But in deeper Agony. He Ripps open the back door of the truck and picks up a snowball wrapper. "Oh it's only a snowball, But i still want My GODDAMN TWINKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*Markus looks back at the planes and gets an idea. He grabs some grenades from his belt and his roll of duct tape. He tapes together the grenades and adds a strip to stick it to the massive yet thin metal hanger door. He tells everyone to get in a plane and start it up, he asks Alice to keep the gunner's seat open for him.

The engines of the fighter planes roar as the pilots get ready. Markus tells Pinky, who is gunning for Jinx, to start shooting before the IED goes off. With all of the preparations done Markus pulls the pins and wastes no time in getting into his gunner seat. Pinky opens fire on the door and the bomb goes off, pieces of the door goes flying outside and the Mega zombie is knocked back. The three planes fly out above the horde. Sprite piloting his plane with no gunner flies above the rest.

The large monster of a mega zombie gains its footing and looks up at the diving planes. Bullets rain down on the horde shredding them to pieces, but the mega zombie stays up. More dive attacks and nothing. This thing is hard to kill. The large zombie then picks up a bullet filled corpse from the ground and throws it at the planes the pilots are evading the flying bodies, but the mega zombies aim appears to be improving. Markus makes a bold move. He grabs his parachute from the cockpit and strings together his last grenades. He ties the pins to the parachute cords. He pulls the parachute over his back and secures it to himself. He then waits for the right moment and eject himself out of plane. He is in free fall above the mega zombie and pulls the release cord. The parachute opens and the grenades Markus attached to the parachute cords drop off their pins and fall to the earth. They all explode right on the mega zombie, blasting holes in the thick flesh that covers it. The mega zombie throws one last body before Markus finishes him off with his pistol from the air.

The body sails right over Markus, but hits Sprite head on. Sprite starts to roll and can't regain control over the plane. He spirals straight to the ground. Jinx and Alice land just as Markus touches down. Markus runs over to the wreckage, that is now a light with flames. He shouts for sprite, but no answer comes. Markus is about to turn away when he hears moaning from the plane. It is Sprite! He is trapped in the cockpit of the plane, and the fire is spreading fast. Markus has to move now or Sprite will die. Markus needs a plan now.*

--Okay, I am back and will write more today and this weekend. So, Sprite is trapped in the wreckage of the plane and fire is spreading fast. What should Markus do. That is up to you. I hope that this is a nice come back of the RP thread. Enjoy.--

I promise that I will have the season finale this weekend. I will see what I can do after that. Thank you all for helping this story along. I will throw out flash backs and pre-stories to tide you guys over before I can start writing more again. Sorry about the slow down, back to school and stuff.
