Might be related (and might not be), but I can't seem to type something such as "can't" in-game. I believe it turns into a "w" or something similar...

That's right, Green_Beret. I don't think converting the code for the chat function to unicode should be too difficult.

The fonts I recommended have brilliant Unicode support AND are free to use and not ugly (unlike the unfortunately popular DejaVu fonts) so they should be more than suitable for the task.
Get to it!

Liberation Mono Bold looks awesome. Wouldn't mind an easier-to-read font, either.

Hey, I'd like to be able to type in Greek (for example) to my fellow Greek people as many people that speak other languages would like to write in their native scripts and alphabets.
I've even noticed that Latin is not complete in the current font, with extended Latin (dotted letters and stuff) not showing up correctly. This seriously annoys a lot of people.

The following recommendations cover practically all the alphabets that will be used in this game. They are all fully free to use, all of them being licensed under the GPL. Also, my selections are all TrueType fonts as I know OpenType fonts can cause all sorts of problems and may not work "out of the box"

---

I'd recommend the "Liberation" fonts. They're quite small and look like Arial, but sexier. I've made a zip of them in the link below so you don't have to download a special decompression program.

GNU FreeFonts are a GNU project that covers almost EVERY script in THE WORLD. Seriously, the amount of people that have contributed to this is enormous and it's paid off. It even covers N'Ko of a few tiny African countries in which most people cannot write!

If you'd like a terminal-style font, try this one; it's called GNU Unifont and it really works well as a terminal font as well. Might fit in with the atmosphere of AoS, I suppose. It is also small and pretty easy to read.

And that's all! Please implement support for other language in the chat!!!
