^I now how hamachi works, I used it to run a MC server. I suppose your right but last time I used it it was a bit laggy but I suppose it's a good way to skip port forwarding.

No Hamachi makes it so you don't need to port forward, you will want to setup the server so it doesn't list on the master server. Then you just need to have everyone in a hamachi network. Hamachi basically makes up a network of computer that are linked, You can access the shared files that people have on their computers...So when your not using it/sleeping you should shut it off, unless you trust everyone in your hamachi networks.

Why would you think that? There is an option to list or not list on the Master server built in. Plus sometimes you want to play a game that doesn't have 8 or so people only griefing or building.

Not sure if the mods would be happy about people by-passing the master server.

It should just be a matter of connect to whoever is hosting the server. Spadille has an easy to use IP converter built in under Tools > Converter. If you are hosting you should be able to just push the Get My IP button, then Convert. Then just copy and past the URL (example: aos://4076014796 ) to your friends/people in your Hamachi Network.

Then they just need to drop it into a web browser and it will launch Ace of Spades, there is also a command to connect to a server.

I haven't actually used Hamachi for Ace of Spades yet, but that's how it works for any other game.

It doesn't need to be in the AoS folder, so long as it's targetting the location of the client.exe correctly. That's why it's a shortcut :P

And... I don't know why he couldn't connect. I don't think he should be trying to run a batch file to connect to your server, though. God, this is making my brain hurt.

The numbers that converter gives you should indeed be the numbers you put into that url, yes.

Okay, so I put my Backwards Hamachi IP into the converter, it is now numbers. So when I put it in the -aos://xxxxxxxxxxx on the x's?

create a batch file. in it have this:

client.exe -aos://


where after the "://" is the numbers you got from the converter.
Then place that file in the ace of spades directory. Make sure it is saved as ".bat" double click it, and it should launch.

Then either I'm an idiot and don't understand Lexy's post at all, or she got it wrong. Probably the former, since I'm not a wizard like she is.

Yeah just create a .bat of Stack's code and that should work.

Just so you know, Spadille has a converter to easily converter IPs to URLs and vice versa.

Oh wait, I think I know what she means.... Go to your AoS folder and find the client.exe. Right click it, and select "create shortcut".

Right click your newly created shortcut and select properties.

Under the 'shortcut' tab, there will be a 'target' box. add -aos://whatever the fuck that number is, to whatever is already there.

I hope that's clearer than Stack's explanation.

start "C:\Ace of Spades\client.exe" "aos://xxxxxxxxxx"

Change the installation directory accordingly.

Then simply create a batch file, or shortcut targetting client.exe and add: -aos://1677830336

Yeah, I'm confused here too. I tried creating an example.bat to see if I could simply right click properties and set a target, but there's nothing there. I wish I could help you, hopefully Lexy will read this soon and help you some more.

Okay, here is what I did (Please reply fast)
I went to CMB and typed in ipconfig
I got my IPv4 from Hamachi (it was 5.124.15.138)
I reversed it to 138.15.124.5
Then I went to that guy's IP converter and it came out to some numbers
I put that in a notepad as aos://(the numbers)
Saved it as client.bat
Is that it?

Oh, and one more thing
How would people join over Hamachi? They connect with IP and Pass (Got that part) do they click Localhost Connect on play?
