Pretty simple. You have to get a certain amount of points per minute to stay on the server, or else you get kicked. This way people who want to build pixel art or grief instead of actually help their team will be kicked off, while the people that are actually playing the game will get to stay. I think something in the ballpark of one point every seven minutes would be ideal, but each server host would be able to set their own points/time value.

The ability to autokick bad players would dramatically improve server quality for players that don't want to play with autists and deuces. Of course, not all players/hosts would like this set up (since they are terrible) so there would also be noob servers to play on.

What do you think? Is this too oppressive and anti-deuce?

EDIT: I'm abandoning this idea, since most of you don't seem to like it. If the general public doesn't like the idea, then I don't want it implemented... even if I still think it's a pretty good idea.

ive made this forum to ask why hacking is viewed as evil? wether people like it or not hacking just hapens to be a hard skill to learn and im still trying to work things out about it but hacking is not always a bad thing

but there is a stereotype of hacking and that type of hacking is game hacking wich in all honesty is a bad thing but i hate to tell you all

The past few weeks there haven't been any hackers to speak of, and then suddenly (since last night) every other server has a hacker flying around and ruining everything. I've seen infinite ammo on SMGs used to level entire bases in an instant, and flying assholes sniping people from the sky. It seems that the script kiddies get a hold of a hacked version of AoS yesterday.

Both of them are active hackers, they both use "trainers" and in Aesir TDM pinpoint KillStreak was using a flight hack, and SlyScopes was asking him about where to get it from and also that both of them should go and raid other servers with thier hacks.
If possible ever, get these two added to the global ban list.

Ok so im playing on ORS Pinpoint we were having a good time I was a leader of a four-man squad then this fucktard showed up named DELTA89 I think but anyways back to the point, I made a great defense so greens could snipe the asses of blues, and now guess what he made it a staircase, and started saying you don't know how to play strategy games. Well I said who make a staircase out of my defense line that was useful until a bunch of blues invaded it becuase he made it into a staircase. When Beta .54 was out, GreaseMonkey from IRC tested out the theory that infinite ammo was possible, and he was easily able to hack his ammo up to 999999 and have no recoil (allowing rapid fire). It even worked for servers that had 'server side ammo'. It was tested on private servers and never given to anyone.

After the Beta .58 patch came out, several people have been joining community servers and using this hack to grief. Also after the patch came out, a few people created a new fly hack similar to the fly command on Pyspades servers.

Stay alert for hackers, because there still few of them on the loose.

P.S. 3rd Party Software Speedhack Created by a Team of 3 People was able to get passed the Pyspades speedhack protection, and I don't know how. :/

We all have seen him. He pops into servers, and spews a bunch of racist crap, and he does it off names of people in the community.

I left my CORD map running so people could take a walk around from my speedy ADSL line.
someone logged in and started trolling me (lol the only other person on the server)

Looking over my pyspades log file after he left shows me that he is using a proxy server to bypass the IP blocking.

looks like he wanted to be Slayer last night. I have seen the dame dude on public server. He has an embarrassing spelling problem that gives him away every time.
Not to mention the same type of trolling, saying the exact same things.

Here is how you really mess with him:

The only other way he has to hack now, is using TOR... LOL. If google takes 2 minutes to load over TOR, I can imagine how nice his ping rate must be.

I know that it is part of the game, but when you get onto a freshly updated server that doesn't get reset often and you have 3-6 people greifing the buildings to make them fall down it is very fustrating. There has got to be a way to stop this bs from happening. There is no place to hide and it is very aggrovating when people are idiodic and collapse all structures. I was playing on a us west map the dark fort and it was just reset and there were 5 or so griefers destroying everything and it mad me mad. So i tried to kick one to warn the others and after the votekick ended they kicked me and i wasn't doing anything wrong. I was playing to get the intel and they were like, "he's griefing kick him." BEN PLEASE MAKE THIS a non greifing game. There has got to be a way to make it easier to kick the greifers. How about they can only break so many blocks more than they build.

If you play very good, go to Goon Haven and try your luck on getting banned for playing.

I got banned from there second time now. Got 22 kills in about 4 minutes and some <TETRIS> worst clan ever members votebanned me for reason: :)

Tutorial on how to get banned: (on that server, take out bonus and it may work on other servers as well)
1. Join the server
2. Select blue team
3. Take a rifle
4. Find a good spot
5. Search for targets
6. Aim for the head
7. Kill
8. Get 7 kills in a row after reaching 40 kills
9. Get an airstrike, full health/ammo
10. Deploy an airstrike and get 3 - 5 kills
11. Kill some more and repeat the cycle
12. Get accused for using HAX
13. Get banned by green retards.

Pretty awesome system you got there though. Random ppl don't get 7 kills in a row and don't know that you can get full ammo/health an airstrike so they blame others for using hax.

I did like the server at first but then realised that it's full of loosers. What a shame.

If you're going to kill me while I'm taking down your structure, at least attempt to rebuild it. Also, switch through your weapons faster. It's hilarious to watch you going back and forth between block and spade. Also, stop attempting to kill me after the structure has been taken down, you did not save anything, and no medals are being awarded.

Also, when I call you out on these things in the chat, don't be a pussy and don't respond. That's very childish.

First way: Be a troll and votekick the people trying to votekick you. This one's only if you don't care about how childish you will seem.

Second way: This one stems from an earlier thread on griefing and a wonderful word called schadenfreude, which describes please gained from causing others distress. Kaede-Chan pointed to this as a motive for griefing, but some other people objected and said that wasn't the case at all. Here's a chance to prove her wrong.

Enter a server hosting a map you wish to grief. I recommend the SuperCool building server, there's a lot of elaborate structures to destroy. Press [F1] to save the map to your computer.

Now take that map and host your own server running that map. Title the server something appropriate for the occasion, like "<yourname>'s Free Grief" and open it to the public. You may now destroy things for the sheer hell of it without causing anyone else undue distress. If you host with PySpades, you can godmode people so that they'll never run out of ammunition or grenades, for a really fun time breaking stuff into small pieces.

Somehow this has never caught on... which is why I agree with Kaede. Still, the idea is out there, so if you ever really just want to blow stuff up, there is a way to do that without being a complete jerk.

There was this guy called Lulzsec who hacked up the Goon Haven server. He apparently got a hack going the spammed the chat instantly with something along the lines of, "Lulzsec will bring doom upon you." If you tried to chat anything then it would almost be gone instantaneously. It was annoying, but very brilliant.

I have been playing this game since the .3 days... not from the beggining but a loyal follower none the less. I began to hate this game when hacking became a problem, couple updates later we were back on track. Custom maps came out, AoS got infinetly better. Yet there was always the greifer problem. It got worse and Ben made a better Kick interface and now even on maps like Pinpoint(my favorite and where you will always find me) people are able to build fortresses again without fearing that a platoon of greifers is sure to be sent there way.

but in the last few days i have noticed a problem with the kick system and for the first time today expieranced it myself. I am a respected player/builder on pinpoint and always play the game for the good of the team, whether we need more fighters or builders, i /votekick inactive players to open up spots on the team for active players. I kick greifers and never greif myself.

Now kids are votekicking anyone they want to, whether it be out of spite, random or they just dont like another person and labeling them as greifers. without thinking the whole game instantly vote yes and possibly many honest players are being kicked.

I have no idea how to fix this, maybe someon else does. plaese dont make me hate this game again.

Is the limited ammo a new thing? I never really noticed the limitation untill now atleast on the normal rifle, but it kinda bothers me when you run out of ammo with the smg and gotta run back to your own tent to refill. It's a nuisance because it kills the action phase.

I have just implemented an Anti-Cheat system into ServerBot. Through various testing, it seems to work flawlessly. It detects Speedhackers and will autokick them with a Message displayed to everyone:

ServerBot: [Bot] Autokicking <player> for Speedhacking.

For now this is only available on my server. I'm trying to add more stuff to ServerBot before pushing out a New release.
