I agree with all of you, but I opened the thread because I see people requesting a reset when the map hasn't lost its gameplay features. I don't find graffiti that annoying personnaly so you have to get rid of everything else. But yeah, I see yor points. It's true that most maps look bad after 12-15 hours.

The maps generally get screwed within 12 - 15 hours and become completely different games with a lack of the existing features and the tunnel systems being somewhat obsolete...
and the maps are full of graffiti etc..

Evolving battlefields are not caused by people going spade happy on everything higher than bedrock. It really sucks to join a server called bridge wars and then fight without the bridge.

Because all the good stuff is gone, there are pits and traps everywhere if the map hasn't been completely leveled, tunnel networks are broken by other tunnels and the map is covered in graffiti and looks like shite.

With autoclimb, I don't think you need to look too much to the ground (excluding pits). It might be just me.

When no team is able to capture the intel, a less aggresive solution could be having a time limit for completion.

Mostly because it gets to the point where you spend more time looking at the ground to get around than you do shooting, and by a certain stage the intel is often so well fortified that NOBODY can get it.

It seems almost every server I join, there's people asking for a map reset. What's the point of it? I know there's maps, like the ones based on buildings, which can get broken badly, but that is fairly odd.

Since I started playing, I loved the idea of an evolving battlefield. It's part of AoS's magic. I think doing map resets often detracts from what makes it special.

So, would you like some kind of auto-reset feature or do you like the map to be running for long?
