@Sample246: Of course Ben would just call it a shotgun if he implemented one. It would be up to the forums to debate what it is... unfortunately, there's a lot of design similarities between different shotguns... a Remington Model 870 with wood furniture, a Winchester Model 1897, and a Browning Auto-5 would all look fairly similar in Slab6, so the debate would go on for ages.

i kinda like the shotgun idea and it should have more closer range than the smg and the rifle and its max ammo should be 30 or below.

I'm not so sure about that, I just think one of the two middle lines of the scope was deleted, because before v54 my line leading up to the point was two pixels wide, now it's one pixel wide. I did notice a bit of strange scope-inaccuracies but I fixed it by moving my crosshairs like one pixel down and now it kicks ass I think harder than it did before. I'd prefer if Ben didn't change a thing.

It's a shotgun, and since this is a videogame, we could say it was chambered in some cartridge like .410 or 28gauge. A low power round that would make it more balanced. Not all shotguns have the range of a spitball and the power of a tank.

I'm still not sold on the idea of a shotgun in the first place, though. I think with the SMG we've got enough close-quarters dynamics going on between it and the rifle. We don't need a gun that can one-hit as well as the rifle and need as little aiming as the SMG.

Pump action shotguns have always been portrayed as strong slow guns. Why not make them fast and weak, somewhat like the SMG, although still a lot less fire rate and only a little more damage?

Well it could always be a Browning Auto-5, which is easier to model and possibly better balanced.

IF we were to have a shotgun, I can't really see it being anything other than the Model 1897 "Trench Gun." Anything else would be silly.
