One thing I get most annoyed of is griefed-to-heck maps. People spend the time to build nice-looking, perfect maps, and yet some noob is going to run in there and mess everything up.

People build nice city maps, and after trying to join one all day, I find it nothing but colorful blocks and rubble. Many people are looking for a sanctuary where there are no griefers. How do we fight them? Votekicking hardly works.

My idea-Make a plug-in that allows custom VOXED maps that make them indestructible. That way, players can neither place, edit, nor destroy any map you create with the plugin. You can create a large, balanced map that no-one can change.

While the down-side is taking away in-game creativity, it can still make maps permanent and griefer-proof. I'd love to see this.

So I go to this website, and follow the link from the (now down) home page. I then hit download and save on the link. Then a Norton Antivirus hint appears at the bottom of the page. It essentially says that there is a medium threat for the item I just downloaded, and when I looked even further, it says that it took the liberty upon itself to automatically remove the item i just downloaded. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME. Is there some way to tell norton to fuck off so I can play this game without having to uninstall my virus protection? Any help is appreciated

Also, I've already read the guide and it didn't help very much with my problem

I knocked up this fairly basic guide today to post on /v/, so I may as well post it here too. I've only been playing for 2 days, so it's far from amazing. It covers the basics anyway I know next to nothing when it comes to the troubleshooting bit, but I put in what I could. Feel free to edit, improve, etc etc

Alright, many people are asking the same questions in-game, so hopefully, we can get something going here. I'll throw in the main questions I hear every time I'm ingame.

----------

A) What are the controls?
When you log into a server, the controls are displayed on the bottom of the screen.

-

B) How do I change my name?
Head to the Ace of Spades folder (should be C:\Program Files\Ace of Spades), and open the Config.INI with Notepad. Names can be up to fifteen characters.

-

C) How do I refill ammunition/health?
Head to the team-colored cross on your radar, you'll get a refill of health, bullets, grenades, and up to 50 building blocks. The base is also where you drop off enemy intel, if you're carrying it.

-

D) The ironsights don't really doing anything.
At best, they lower the weapon's recoil and give you more zoom. Other than that, you're right, they don't really do anything.

-

E) I can't see our team's intel!
If you can't see it on the map, your intel's in enemy hands. Catch it while you still can.

-

F) How do I get out of the water?
Crouchjump (Ctrl + Space), and move forward. You can use this to jump over two block-heights as well.

----------

If anyone else has questions to ask, post them ASAP.
