To move classes, you will need to fufil the requirements:
To move from D to C, you must post us a picture of 200 kills.
To move from C to B, you must post us a picture of 350 kills and help recruit 2 people.
To move from B to A, you must post a picture of 550 kills and help recruit 4 people (doesn't count people you recruited from moving from C to B).
To move from A to S, you must post a picture of 600 kills and help recruit 6 people (same rules as before).
To move from S to an Almighty Sub-Leader, you must post a pic of 650 kills and help recruit 8 people (same rules as before)..

You can attain the kills with a sum of pics, e.g: I have one pic which has 500 kills, and another which has 100 kills, by submitting these I can move up.

Wbs on "Can't load most maps."

I have a strange problem... If I try to join most servers, it will try to load the map, get about half-way loaded, and then boot me out. HOWEVER, on maps that take less time to load like Pinpoint or the D-day themed one, it is fine. The error that pops up says either their was an error in map transfer (unlikely) or the server timed out (likely the problem). Do anyone know how to fix this? (reinstalling did not work.)

Hey, I'm a new user, though I downloaded this game in the past. From the changelog info, I would assume I played a bit back in the 0.2 stage of the game. Anyways, I just reinstalled the newest version (0.58) and whenever I try to join a server, nothing happens. No message (which I had experienced before) or anything. I would appreciate some help, as the game looks very promising now.

I actually started playing AoS today; sorta.

Basically, the few servers I am able to join, I get about 5 fps. Here are my specs...

AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor (2.20GHz)
8 GB RAM
OS: Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT

I don't know the specs of my netbook, but it has 1.66 GHz, and runs the game 60FPS+

So my specs aren't the greatest, but I should be able to run a game that has countable pixels...

Solutions? Same problem? Please reply ^_^

I realize that many lists have been made up to warn Server Admins, etc about questionable players. This will just be ones that I've witnessed.

I can't vouche for anyone adding to it, but if you do I would suggest following my guideline below.

Known Name/Alias: Jihad_Nasheed, Jihad, Jihad_Nadasheen
Reason: Griefing legitimate defenses, blocking in tents/players, taking intel and hiding away with it, hacking.
Servers frequented: Aloha uscentral hallway, aloha uswest island, aloha uswest pinpoint, aloha uscentral gen

Verified: I witnessed this guy on Aloha servers before doing this kind of asinine behaviour - to be expected of those - but i noticed in a game I played at 0900 (Central Time US&Canada) July 29/2011 in addition to low level griefing he was employing some weird hacks. He would be able to fire his gun and create a block in the air - not a server feature - and also be able to teleport from the bottom of cliffs to the top or across the map - in a server with no lag. Hopefully he just sticks to Aloha servers.

Just a heads up to any Admins who notice this guy join their server. BAN ASAP. Sorry I don't have IP.

I wanted to start a private server so me and my friend could build the ultimate bunker on pinpoint and save it to use online once it is finished. He brought his computer over, and I started up the server by opening the Ace of Spades server application, and loaded the pinpoint.vxl (without the .vxl of course) set max players to 2, and said no to master server advertisement. I went to Spadille and went to favorites and loaded local server and it loaded up pinpoint with only me on it. Then he connected to my Wi-Fi and opened Spadille but there was no option to connect to a local network. Then he set up a server, but this time it said that the local server was either full or misconfigured. When I tried to reconnect to mine, it said the same thing, and now it won't work no matter what. What do I do?

Now before you start whining and complaining about what I do please take into account the following:
I am mixed (half-cast)
Don't get angry at me for what I do, i only do it a weekends because I get bored.

Ok back to the point.
Racsism. It's a huge problem on AoS, I find it really confusing because you look at things like RS, WoW, CS2D etc and you don't get people spamming the N-word because they think it sounds cool or whatever. I hate racsism. And yet you persist and think it's only a word, it cannot hurt anyone, A word can change a nation (or a sentence that contains that word). Racisism turns brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters, I don't want to play a game where in the future racism rules the chatbox. I don't mind swearing too much (although it is vulgar and disgusting) but racism is ALOT worse. I go on a server and there are a bunch of racist idiots, It makes me sick. So sick that I feel like quitting the server I'm on or heck getting rid of AoS to play something different with better people.

Let me make another strong point here, please don't get mad at me it was a one-off because I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Some of you may have heard of the player called nothing, that player... is me.
Don't exit this post just because a hacker is making a point ( I do have skills, I just got bored :3), there is something that completly makes no sense, why the hell do hackers get kicked and rasists don't?
People just roll along and let the racists stay, but when theres a hacker(s) they like "ZOMG he must get kicked!"
Hacking may ruin the game, but rasism ruins it ALOT more.

Now is a good time to reflect on the words of Martin Luther King Jr or Nelson Mandela, they were people who saw that blacks, whites and half-casts can live in peace. Why is there conflict? Why can't AoS have a non-racist community?
People should really think about who there hurting when they type those horrible messages. I think everyone should read MLK Jr's "I have a dream" speech, find it here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbUtL_0vAJk.

You may mock and laugh at me, but know this: I will not stop. I will NEVER stop untill racism is wiped off AoS.

Let me also make clear: I love AoS, it's a fun game when there are not racist playing, my cousin introduced me to it and i got obbsesed, don't let this great game get ruined.

I have a dream, that AoS can be non-racist. Don't ban me for making a point, don't remove this post for making a point.

1. You can build on top of a player. This can get him inside the unrendered part of the voxels, +leaving him stuck. The only ways out are suicide or waiting for someone to dig you out.
2. Looking straight down or up is jerky and adds charm to the game, but you can see every entity (players, intel, tent) through the block you're standing on/right over you. I've killed a few people using this AND was killed by a few people because of this.

I found a post under the General Gameplay section called "Notch broked it." Recognizing Notch's name, I clicked on the post and found out that Notch linked the download of the game in his Twitter. My opinion is that this has some pros and some cons. I wanna talk about the problem, but first I'll mention a good aspect to keep spirits up. This will increase the AoS population by thousands, boosting this game in fame and also more people will donate making this an awesomer game than it is already (really hard to beat :D).

Now the problem. In the post "Notch broked it", commenters said minecrafters will interpret it and either join the game's servers and build like it's candyland, or rip on the game calling it a rip-off. Neither of those concern me much, although I know that some minecrafters will do this and have already done that. My concern is that many minecrafters who want to build freely will notice three things:
1. Green spawn/territory is in a relatively flatland, which is nice and easy to build on.
2. Green team promotes building much more than blue team. They are in lowlands and need as much cover as possible from the sniping blues on top of mountains.
3. Green team usually has better defenses and can better defend the builds minecrafters make than the blue team, minimizing chances of it being tore down by a sneaky ninja on the other team.
You've probably inferred by now that I implied most minecrafters will probably prefer the green team and will overpopulate the green team. Many starters at this game will be too scared to join blue team since it will have much less players, and the beginners will join green too, overpowering the green team even more.

The bottom line is that the preference for green team will sky rocket and the teams will unbalanced, making unfair games on most servers. On a vote taken on the unofficial Ace of Spades Blog in early April, 284 people preferred blue team, 297 people preferred green team, and 183 people couldn't decide. There was also a system that allowed you to only vote once to make the poll accurate. This was pretty balanced and made it about a fair match. Now in late April, when the world of Minecraft learned about this game from Notch, the polls could take a drastic turn.

Gentlemen, this is a tutorial on how to set up a server without using Master Server verification.

Step #1

Download the following file: http://www.2shared.com/file/uVJJDlg3/AoSNoMaster.html (the file is from http://mango12.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=12425), and doesn't have any viruses in it. Scan it on virustotal if you want to be a douche.

Password to the file is "lol9000", without quotes.

Step #2

Place AoSNoMaster.exe into your Ace of Spades directory.
Once the file is in the directory double click it, and a window should pop up saying "Patch Complete!" (or something similar...)

Step #3

Run the server.exe and test it, I assure you it works!

!!!!MAKE SURE YOU'VE PORTFORWARDED ON PORT 32887!!!!

Step #4

To connect to your server, create a text file and insert the following into it:

client.exe xaos://16777343

Save it as "anything.bat", then run it, it should connect to your server

Step #5

PROFIT!

there are no servers at the moment, it just says testing beta or something.

I was trying to create a server and had some serious problems. Things that i did:
1. Port Forwarding my netgear router.
2. Allowing Through my Nortan Internet Security firewall/ turned off Nortan.
3. Allowed Router to respond to pings

Things i was wondering about:
1. Does this work on 64-bit windows
2. Would Virtual Machine Linux work?
3. Does this run on Linux 64/32 ubuntu (server/client)
