Thank you for the link nothings, however it seems to be broken. Whenever I click I get an error saying that it could not be found.

And to Sn1pEr, I opened a server loading from lastsav 2 different times and got the same thing. So it's loading from a file. However the file must be hidden because it cannot be found by using the search function on windows or by going to the vxl folder.

I'm going to try your opening it directly through voxed trick next. I'll post back here in a bit.

Edit: Whoops didn't see that last post. Glad to see I'm not the only one with the error. Was worried there for a bit. And the server thing wasn't a problem I've hosted servers before.

Edit 2: Oh and to both of you, the opening in voxed thing works. I found the file. Thanks for everyones help :)

@Sprouts:

1) I have the same bug. I can't see certain map files in the folder, but when I try to open them in VOXED, I can see them. If I use VOXED to move them out of the ace of spades folder, they show up!

2) Run your own server and hit F1. To do this, run server.exe and then type:
A: gen
B: 1
C: Server Name
D: n

It should look like this.

E: click on "LocalHost Connect" Under the server list

No server skillz needed.

3) If that doesn't work, here's a download link for a vanillamap I made

i have that same problem, but i figured out that when i try to open a vxl file on voxel editor, i can find the file in the "open" window, that way i can change the name or even modify the map.
but lets try to make something easier, save a map and then open a server with the map "lastsav", try that out and then tell me know if it worked for u.

Edit: didnt see nothings answer when i wrote this

Bump once again. Can someone please just log-on to a server or open your own server and grab an unaltered default map for me? Shouldn't be hard unless you're having the same problem I am.

Yeah I realized F1 was all that was needed after reading up about it on the wiki a moment ago. The red message does pop up, however there is nothing in the vxl folder but the vxlform text file. Do you think it's saving somewhere else?

Edit: I tried searching for what the game said it was saving it as, and nothing popped up. So it's not saving it anywhere. Despite saying it is.

Edit #2: Can someone just provide me a download of an unaltered default gen? I just need one so that I can have a basis on which to make a custom map.

Just try using f1 alone.
Does the little red message appear in game?

Also bear in mind that it doesn't save as the name of the map - it's 'lastsav.vxl'.
Saves will always route to your 'vxl' folder.

Please check back if it still acts up.

So I've been trying to save a map using Alt-F1, which according to the text in-game it does. However when I check the folder vxl in the ace of spades folder. There's nothing there.

I've messed around with the permissions for that folder and the files still haven't popped up. Any ideas how to get them to actually save or where they might be saving if not there?
