@Galaxion Well maybe it could be somthing else for spawning tanks. Maybe it could be, like how many wins the team has instead? Or two intel captures (like one player) could that work? It is just a suggestion.

Allowing a player to spawn a tank after a specified number of kills instantly makes me think of Call of Duty multiplayer. It's a self-cataclysmic process:

1. player attains # kills
2. player activates respective kill reward
3. player uses those kill rewards to kill better, faster, and easier; player gets more total kills
4. repeat steps 1-3

Anyone see what I'm saying here? The number of kills will just increase at an exponential rate up until the player hits the last benchmark for a kill reward. This is pretty imbalanced because a player that doesn't have some/any kill rewards will be rendered almost totally useless against a player that has the majority/all of them. If we just started both teams out with 1 tank each, THEN the gameplay would remain in sync.

Should add tanks, that someone can spawn after, say, 50 kills? (non streak)

Or even moving medi-vans?

Medic vans could re-supply health but nothing else, and would have to be driven and protected.

And maybe NPCs?

NPCs could fight for you if you gave them ammo.

Both.
Something like what twisted said, small and then large. Basically kind of like just works on small, but at the same time, each little small works with a large, and it will all add up. Think how Notch adds items that aren't used currently in the game but will eventually.

I prefer smaller updates - or at least regular drips of information of what development has been ongoing for the next release (kind of like what Toady One does at Bay12). Both of the above would be very nice indeed.

It makes the userbase feel the game is progressing, rather than going a weeks without a word from Mr. Aksoy.

Exactly what it says on the tin- do you generally prefer smaller, more frequent updates to the game, or do you prefer to wait longer for bigger updates?

For me I'll probably prefer longer waits for bigger updates until a self-installer is added, but for widely criticised aspects, such as the infamous rifle/smg cones, I think a quick fix is vital to keep the playerbase numbers consistent. Just let it ride for a few days to make absolutely sure that the claims of something making gameplay worse are sound, and then change it ASAP.

Not like we needed another new thread but sure, what the hell, I'll bite.

How about less ammo and no nades for Deuces? In other words if you don't change your name to something OTHER than the default then you will find you are playing at a disadvantage. This would encourage people to actually take the time and edit their config.ini! I think this is a great idea and I deserve a nice pat on the head for coming up with it.
