Did you try the tips in the Vocaroo FAQ section?

The sound quality is really bad. Help!?
In almost all cases this is caused by using a low quality microphone. To improve quality, you could try turning your microphone's volume down (right click on the recorder to access the Flash Player settings), and also try moving further away from the microphone while speaking.

Sound quality might also be improved by standing on your head.

@Influx: I'm pretty sure Voocaroo clips and/or equalizes the sound to save server space. Listening to me recorded on Audacity and Voocaroo are very different.

@Fett: Oh god I know the first one >_< but I don't remember exactly what it is.

Vocaroo records to whatever quality the input is. I'd guess it's either your mic or your soundcard causing the bottleneck.
