Ok so im playing on ORS Pinpoint we were having a good time I was a leader of a four-man squad then this fucktard showed up named DELTA89 I think but anyways back to the point, I made a great defense so greens could snipe the asses of blues, and now guess what he made it a staircase, and started saying you don't know how to play strategy games. Well I said who make a staircase out of my defense line that was useful until a bunch of blues invaded it becuase he made it into a staircase. Well anyways ya that's my story it's not really a complaint, but more of a question for you. Don't you hate when you get votekicked for no reason?

hi my real account is Ninjapro69

i just went on pinpoint (the real pinpoint) and right when i got on i saw my friend pro sniper ger kicked so i asked why did you do that?

they said because he was on green and everyone else was on blue.

i was was also on blues but then for no apparent reason i was kicked i hadnt even shot or put a block down yet.

there where about 6 people on and 4 of them where called mr.

but somthing should change because you should not get kicked of a main server just because some people decide they want to troll you.

because there is not even a rule about not being on greens or talking about your friend being kicked.

so it brings me back to my title this is utter bullshit

Recently the votekick system has been abused by an astonishing amount of people. Before now it was used relatively responsibly, but now its just gotten out of hand. I got on a relatively small server, and when I got griefed I asked how to use the new votekick system, and bam, I got votekicked within a minute of asking. I thought it was just an isolated incident, so I went to one of my favorite servers which I thought was relatively safe, and the exact same thing happen when I asked how to use it. What can we do to fix this.

Yes, yes, I know, this has been mentioned several times before, but after checking the search I couldn't really find a thread specifically adrressing free, email-based registration. In the hopes of making sure Ben has seen these ideas, here goes:

Many people have presented the idea that playing AoS should require registering with an email account. Not only is it intended as a griefer and hacker prevention system, it would also thoroughly kill the mild imposter problem the AoS community is having. Server admins would be able to permenantly ban both the IP and the account of problem children, requiring them to restart their modem and obtain a new email account to rejoin.

Coupled with streamlined votekicking systems (with associated tempbans, permbans should never be handed out by troll-exectuable votekicks) this could cause griefers, trolls, and hackers to use five to ten minutes getting a new IP and account for one or two minutes of gameplay... chances are, after a few tries they'll decide it isn't worth the time to cause the AoS community distress.

As a bit of icing on the cake, registered accounts would allow for recordable statistics, such as total kills, total deaths, longest-range hit, longest killstreak, and other fun stuff. This wouldn't have any effect on in-game privileges, but it would be nice to be able to brag (and prove to people that when you complain about a foghacker that you're not some n00b who can't stand losing, but an experienced player who might just have an idea what you're talking about). Furthermore, it could keep track of how many times you'd been kicked, banned, and/or votekicked, and for what reasons. This would streamline removal of hackers, trolls, and griefers from servers.

I have just been votekicked from a server, with a serverbot, for no reason. There was a person on the server who took a dislike to me and so he basically started a votekick which got me kicked. I would like to know how long it will before i can go back on said server as i really like playing on it, and how can it be so easy for me to be kicked for no reason what so ever.

I or someone else will get griefed and then after many "votekick so and so griefer"'s they may or may not be kicked. Griefing wouldnt really be a problem if people would pay attention to it.

Just felt like getting that off my chest, that's all i guess.

Also perhaps worth adding, known griefers:

LoL - I've seen him in multiple servers and all he ever seems to do is grief, he'll encase people, destroy buildings, destroy blocks from under you so you fall to your death.

He was just off the top of my head because i just quit the last game because of him.

If I uderstand right, 50% of players on a server must vote for one player to get kicked. Well, if there are only 2 players, then one of them IS 50% of the players on the server, how come that it is not possible to votekick then?
Also, what EXACTLY do I need to press to votekick?
This is what I do.
1. I press "T"
2. Then I press "/votekick Deuce2" as an example. Should I press "/votekick (Deuce2)"? or "/votekick 8 Deuce2" or what should I press?

Every time there's a griefer or hacker, I'll encourage people to votekick them but it never passes no matter how much damage they're doing. When you call for a votekick there should be a message that shows up in the chat log like "1 person has voted to kick Deuce. To vote to kick player type /votekick #"

It would be nice to know how many votes it takes to kick somebody as well
