Isn't the ironsight an image that already has a transparent layer? I dunno- the map does have to constantly update, so you may have a point.

In response to Beret, I remember Bcoolface saying something about giving the mini-map transparency killing AoS' performance/framerate.

I hope a compass is added, it'd be pretty awesome.

An alternate solution could be to enlarge the player indicator on the map and make the whole map screen semi transparent.

Why would you need a compass if it shows the direction you're facing on the map?

Also, is there a sky texture? It should have a sun and clouds and what not. (Unless it's raining)
