yeah, i usually just avoid it with my brain actively monitoring my tabbing, but it turned out this time that the CLock was on already, and my mouse clicks(USB) were interupting my keyboard(USB) signal. .. so i was deleting a radio tower on Bastion and putting some thing else in when sudenly its black.

I just closed it for the night. my slab six progress got scrapped by a ... power flux any way. There was nothing left to do.

thanks for that tip, though. Wasn't there a Flash! option in the origional? i might just Flash! my edit area and work there then move on.

i guess either way i need to inspect this thing for impending death in the parts section.

this isn't a perfect solution but you can load the darkened map into a server, save it in the client (F1), then load it back into VOXED

some edges will still show the affects of darkened intensities but at least you can see what you're doing

the best solution is to save often, or better yet disable Caps Lock with a key remapper (KeyTweak is free) before you use VOXED

This doesn't stop the map from being too dark to edit because you can't see a damn thing.

Voxed lights don't affect the lighting of the resulting in-game map, so you can basically ignore how it looks, because AoS will treat the original map as fullbright and then do its own thing for lighting.

If you specifically want a "lit" look it has to be baked into the color map, which slab6 can do, but not Voxed.

surely since it's so easy to accidentally hit Caps Lock there's an easy way to undo darkening all intensities by 25%, right? right??

i accidentally hit Caps Lock a couple of times so the \ undo key is no good for this situation. is there an easy way to lighten all intensities to reverse the effects of darkening all intensities?
