Same engine, game doesn't warp everything when looking up and down...
I think this is due to there being more detail in the ground, since Ace-spades doesn't have many sprites for squares. I say have a configurable amount of detail in the ground blocks, would eliminate the warping for people with better computers.

"When people complain about headaches from playing from the game, you know something is wrong. I won't experience pain just for the few users who have computers 2 decades old. Who cares. "
Due to sway, right? Well that's not due to the engine, the warping when looking down and up is, I believe.
Maybe we should count the number of people with headaches and the number of people with old computers, either way, this uses the engine it uses and I don't see that changing unless the author is up to it.

>I'm kinda curious as to how well really crappy computers handle the game.

My computer is garbage. The game runs nearly PERFECTLY.

I don't want that to be changed for the sake of "better graphics". Who cares.

I couldn't care how the blocks look, it feels like a feature to me after playing for a while.
I don't see why he would change engines over something like that, seeing how far he made it with this engine, not to mention it seems to run really well on older machines according to some players.

From what I understand, the engine uses sprites in the place of actually drawing block vertices or whatever. I don't know how easy or difficult it would be, but unless it is in the realm of impossibility, i think it is important to improve the visuals. This game gives me a headache playing it, and its only partially caused by view sway.

I'm kinda curious as to how well really crappy computers handle the game.

Since it looks (to me) that the game is made up of, basically, 2D slithers placed in a way to make it seem 3D...

The engine can be changed, though. It's not like it's a natural law that blocks have to look like shit. Look at Minecraft... Ok, they're not exactly beautiful either, but at least they look like blocks ;)

Played the game. Loved it. My suggestions:

1. Up close the blocks look horrible. Would like their Edges to remain sharp.
2. The sway when looking up or down and the slowing of movement needs fixing.
3.I think blocks with 1 height difference should be walkable. Test it for one release and see if it's better or worse for the game.
4. Adjustable mouse sensitivity. Too sensitive for me.
5. There seems to be an issue when peeking over blocks to fire. Even if the aiming reticle is clmear of the terrain, it'll sometimes hit the block in front if you.
