Well,it pretty much depends on what scope/aim do you uses.And that guy meant:It dont increase zoom COMPARED TO THE DEFAULT.Both the default and the scopes do that.

Just because someone made one rifle with a big fucking yellow strip that is 600+ blocks long dont mean EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PLAYER ON EARTH is gonna use that.
I think Ben should add something like,a limit of size of the files that can be uploaded into the game.Or that that gun is only shown on you,not with other people(Yes I mean customizable individual loadout),so that if you use a rifle that is more than 100 blocks long,only you loses.

Is it considered Cheating if you went through EVERY file in the whole AoS Download thing and Deleted the Default and replaced it with a new one? Is editing a WAV file Cheating? Potentially. Edit all of the shooting/reloading sounds to be a very loud recording of you saying, for example, "smg reloading."

It's simply about personal preference.

Not just personal preference. It's literally a choice between, "should I see more, and generally have an advantage over everyone who hasn't chosen to take my path, or should I play legitimately, and ultimately end up getting put down for having a different opinion?"

The FOV is actually decreased when you aim down the sights, thus increasing zoom, so you were kind of wrong there.

Too wrong. By percentage, depending on the png, you may be correct, but it only phases out what you don't need to see in the first place. Only the outer area is obstructed, leaving the inner area entirely legible and giving you the upper hand in times where you otherwise wouldn't have even noticed someone.

I'd say that modding the scope/sights so that you can see the whole freakin' screen is a bit cheap, but making a mod just so you can have a smaller aimpoint is fine with me.

Let people have their fun and stop being such a bitch about modifications. You're losing because you blow, not because someone edited a PNG.

How could you possibly make such a statement? Custom iron sight png files are among the most exploitable things in this game, along with custom kv6's, both of which are not barred at all in its visibility. The default semi.png will easily block out a whopping 1/4-1/6 of the screen, while a customized png will easily show that area the other person wouldn't be able to see, effectively changing the game, whether you bitch and moan about my logic or not.

Just because a feature is available for use doesn't mean it's legitimate. There's all sorts of non-sequitur "tactics" people think up that easily go against the gameplay in all sorts of games. That doesn't mean it's right, and, in fact, it can potentially change the game in very bad ways. I'm all for customization, truth be told, but people abusing it to the extent of getting a better field of view, or being able to see people around corners, simply isn't right to me.

Perhaps the best solution is an optional server-side file that the client is forced to use, but defaulting to the player's custom sights if the server doesn't designate a file?
