I just played Counterstrike 1.6
God it was so silky smooth, felt so good after having AoS be the only FPS I've played for 2 weeks.

I read this in the changelog for 0.1
"-added frame limiter (allows sound system breathe)"
I'm sure a lot of us don't need the frames limited to let anything breathe, all the more reason to have it configurable.

I hope they put vsync in again too, then I can patch it off and have an advantage over everyone (no input-delay), like a few versions ago.

I agree with this suggestion. Having a configurable FPS cap setting would be nice. 0 = Unlimited. Any other number above, oh say, 25, would set the cap limit.

It would be nice to have settable FPS.

I know I can get 150 FPS on AOS and I would like that.

In 4.x, a cap was put on the FPS (Frame per second) to 25fps. Most of you noticed the gameplay was choppy, and a few of you didn't care (shame on you)

Anyway, this was an accident. Ben increased the framerate cap to 40 as of 0.48.

Now, 40fps was a huge improvement, the game felt playable again! But, is there a reason it's not set to 60?

I know, 60 isn't a big change from 40 in terms of fluidity, but it still makes a difference. It will look nicer, and aiming will be slightly easier. Professional gamers often use CRT monitors just to get faster FPS than 60, and the human eye is confirmed be able to see past 200fps. I believe the cap should be increased because it directly affects the gameplay/enjoyment, and such factors shouldn't be overlooked.

Worst case scenario, high FPS negatively effects the game in some way for some users, in that case FPS should be configurable like most other PC games.

For those of you who didn't notice the cap or don't care, kindly stay out, we don't care that you don't care.

Here's a framerate comparison, just for fun
