It's a virtual machine. XP has been around longer which makes it a good choice regardless.

Jackster, Please refrain from all the name calling. It really isn't necessary.

You might need to set a PATH variable, If you do that make sure you place a semicolon in front of the path to the aos folder.

Example:

windows 7/vista
<existing path string>;%ProgramFilesx86%\ace of spades

xp
<existing path string>;%ProgramFiles%\ace of spades

You probably need to change the working directory to where you've got Ace of Spades installed (use 'cd').

When running the server.exe from CMD.

The map part does not work.

It won't load any maps and only generates them.

Just reporting.
