:DD ftw is going on in here? Anyways, the trees, cities and other stuff shouldn't be added, since the dev is planning to do a map maker tool anyways soon. Then there'll be billions of thatlike maps around.

You know if anything, maybe Ben (the creator, I think that's his name, lol), can pay attention to how Notch, creator of Minecraft, has been doing these sorts of enviroments. I don't mean copy everything Notch is doing, I'm just saying, if he wants a general idea of how the game COULD look, maybe look at Minecraft.

PS: Notch and Ben walked into a bar. . .

I actually agree with the majority of the variety mentioned.

The city would be war torn and partially destroyed. Obviously the building would be destroyable and even repairable if desired.

I would be an interesting change of pace for the game.

Also, trees would be really cool. Once the map tools get released I want to see some of this stuff actually happen. If we get artillery/machine gun emplacements cover with be that much more interesting and important.

To be honest I would love to see some varriation in the map. The rolling hills and branching rivers are great but it be pretty lame if that was all there was as an option. Trees would be very interesting as they would provide cover for and against snipers.

What Trotski said, minus the artillary.

SImplicity is the key here; different map terrain, okay. Adding unremovable buildings and such just makes me screem WHY????

As for trees, okay, but they'd be destroyed within about 5 minutes anyway. It couldn't hurt, it just seems a bit fruitless.

It doesn't ALL have to be a city. And once the developer adds more explosives the land is going to start getting torn up faster, meaning that the cities wont stand forever. And besides, don't you ever get bored of looking at rolling hills with some half finished structures everywhere?

Maybe we could have different environments. Such as;
- A destroyed, burnt out city( like stated above), lots of QQC, sniper points, hiding places
- A downtown market in Iraq, not destroyed or burnt out, reduced vision and lots of sand
- A cold Russian winter, flat ground with lots of trees, small villages on both sides
- A world war 1 battlefield, flat land destroyed by artillery, teams start out in a small crater, dig trenches
- A d-day map, cliffs on either ends with water separating the 2, Czech hedgehogs that cannot be removed, landing crafts that respawn if destroyed
- A Vietnamese jungle, large trees, swamps and caves
- An entire map underground, huge endless cave systems (think minecraft 404 challenge, lots of ambush points, possibly lava

I know I got carried away, but I think more maps would give the game lots of replay value, and provide you with the trees you so desperately want.

Now let me tell you this, I love the graphics on this game. It actually is one of the better art styles I have seen, but it lacks a sense of life. Something that slowly becomes apparent the more you play. The whole lack of life, other than the other players. If no battles were fought on the warzone, at least SOME life should be present. Trees would really fix this. As well as giving players a tactical advantage if they can scale it and snipe, it would also add to the atmosphere of a war seeing destroyed trees all around you.
