If you host a server and run a client on the same computer, I've noticed it's slow too, they're both moderately CPU intensive and so that's expected.

my map problems have grown worst, when i try to host the normal map by just typing gen, and then try to join my computer becomes realllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slow. once everything stops loading i get the full or misconfigured error message. i think this might be because of the new update? but im not really sure.

hey cormz, make sure your map names don't have spaces and dashes and underscores and things (I don't know the exact specifications but keep it alpha-numeric)
Edit: sorry, just saw your pic. Try placing the files in the vxl folder? Other than that, no idea mate.

put the map in the /vxl/ folder. Open up Server.exe, then type: mymapname
then put the players and servername.

Do not put .vxl, and do not put: /vxl/mymapname
The map name can not have underscores.

For example, my niagara falls map is anmed: niagarafalls.vxl

I open server, type: niagarafalls
Then I type: 32
then I type: WhateverServer with ServerBot
