<description><p>Some people are too dumb to use the Crouch key, when crouching, autoclimb is negative, hence, allowing you to fall into 1x1 trenches easier then before, at least i find it that way, and look on the bright side, your not falling into random holes of doom and its easier to hide ur tunnel entrances/exits

<description><p>Doesn't matter how you call it, autoclimbing or "stepping". Stepping is autoclimbing, but smoother. But ok, I don't need autoclimb than, I need stepping... with half sized blocks! Smoother world, happier people.

<description><p>*It's always been a wee bit difficult to squeeze into 1x1 holes, but now it's outright impossible.</p>
<p>*Using gook holes and trenches is a pain in the ass.</p>
<p>*People climb faster than they descend.</p>
<p>*You can't make fun of people who don't know how to crouch jump anymore.</p>
<p>I know a lot of people will bitch about it, but how about adding sprint-like mechanics to autohiking? One would turn it on by holding shift (or any other key, as shift is being used already - say alt), and it would last 5 seconds, after which a 5-second cool down would be activated.

<description><p>There is no auto climb in minecraft... You still jump from block to block.</p>
<p>What they have is HALF SIZED BLOCKS which enable you to step.</p>
<p>As for the issue, This indeed kills methods that worked in the past.</p>
<p>AoS isn't minecraft... It solely shares the placing and breaking of blocks, that form it's world.</p>
<p>Nothing else.

So there is autoclimb in MC too, because you can make stairs, what take you upward without jumping. Smoother than in AoS, but this is autoclimb.

<p>Cannot LRN 2 CROUCH JUMP.</p>
<p>Crouch jumping is literally useless now. You don't need to Crouch Jump at all now, and I actually find it amazingly difficult to drop down into a 1x1 hole, or to even get into a 1x* trench as it tries to put me on the next one using the auto-climb.</p>
<p>Auto-Climb, I'm sure has killed sniping, or just made it easier for people to rush.</p>
<p>(I'm sure that when someone is auto climbing, that the shot isn't likely to hit them as much as what it was before.</p>
<p>You also don't get people getting "stuck" jumping up the hill.

<description><p>In MC you can place half blocks like stairs which also have auto climb feature, but it's smoother, because it's 1/4 player sized, not 1/3 like here. So I think we need smaller blocks, not bigger. Smaller blocks make the map more detailed, and gives the ability to build thinner walls and windows with bigger field of view.

<description><p>How about increasing density to make players 4 blocks high? Problem being obnoxious building, of course... But maybe you could build using 2x2x2 blocks? There could be a building option where you place voxels instead of these 2x2x2 blocks, for building details/stairs, etc.</p>
<p>The only problem would be if you accidentally place a block one voxel too far from the other when building a wall, so there's a tiny hole in the wall that's tedious to fix. </p>
<p>HOWEVER, one could solve this by predefining a block grid for the world so that blocks always get placed properly relative to each other. </p>
<p>So the maps would be generated at the voxel level, for smooth, traversable terrain, while you retain the ability to build blocky structures with ease. You get to place single voxels for detail work/stairs, and all is well in the world! I could see the pickaxe taking off single voxels instead of full 2x2x2 blocks, so that would be an easy way to make stairs too.</p>
<p>Just brainstorming here... The more I think about the idea, the more I like it :-D

<description><p>How about increase the size of blocks which is proportional to the hight you jump. We would have to jump less but terrain still plays a role in war.</p>
<p>Basically make the blocks as big as minecraft blocks - people don't complain about 24/7 space spamming in MC.
