Any initdirectdraw errors I get I can fix by merely logging off/restarting.. generally caused by another game not exiting properly.
Other than testing out other resolutions, I know of no other solutions.

I get the initdirectdraw error now more than I ever have previously, and it is due to my screen resolution. However, changing the resolution to my screen's max makes the game lag. I'd rather run it at a non-laggy 800x600 than 1280x1024. Are these errors at all possible to circumvent?
