I can confirm that it was in fact a bot. However, the post limit on bbpress is 1 post every 30 seconds. I was going to start working on an automatic registration system to register new accounts, but then got bored of such things.

Well like I said, it's just as easy to automate the task of pruning. Automation vs automation. Ended up writing a bot to delete the spam as soon as it would show up.

Copy and paste? I'm not ruling out that it might have been a bot, just that if it was, it was kind of pathetic considering the rate it was posting at. The "posts" contained the same thing over and over again, only changing when a new account was opened. Sometimes they were just copied/pasted posts that were written by other users. Regardless if it was a bot or not, it was just a waste of time for nobody but himself.

no it was a spam bot cos apparently he was posting old posts back on random topics
he was posting every minute or so, so how could he write a massive paragraph in that much time

THE_REAL_ATHEIST was the one behind the spam. Not sure if it was necessarily a bot or not seeing as a bot would've posted a lot faster than he was. It just seemed to be a combination of butthurt and temporary email services. Regardless, it's just as easy to automate the task of removing the spam as it is to automate creating the spam in the first place.
