The guy linked it earlier in this thread, I wasn't really going for realism, just something that looked nice and was easy to use.
The lines going to the red dot made it just that little bit faster to aim properly, and I left a space between the lines and the dot so I could always have a clear view of the enemy.

That makes much more sense and makes me look retarded :P .
I made one in meters but it took lots of maths and time on Photoshop and was just too big.
Kind of pointless since I worked out the actual game stops rendering at ~78m and an 80m rangefinder would be borderline useless IRL.

I'll just stick with yours, thanks for making it.
I'm still using the scope I created from your floating dot idea haha.

Paradox, the rangefinder is in blocks, so as to be culture neutral.

Specifically, it shows the

(height of three blocks)/10

So, if a standing player is in the "4" part, then they are 40 blocks away.

GeneralJoe, with the rangefinder, is it in feet or meters or what?
I estimate each block to be roughly two feet high assuming the people are 6feet tall, and the distance when I line people up doesn't look long enough to be meters and doesn't look short enough to be feet.

Aaaand another one.

This update brings you two new sights: The SVD, requested in my last thread, and Very Fine Crosshairs (VFC).

Also, there is a rangefinder (to scale, it does in fact show the distance of 3 block high figures), but it is only for people with grey matter. You need to know how to use Paint.NET or GIMP to add them to your sights (sorry, Deuces).

For those who do not know what my sights look like, check out My Old Thread. That thread has the screenshots for all of the old sights, plus links to the older thread and pack.

So now for the screenshots of my new sights:

Close Eye Relief SVD
Close Eye Relief VFC

Long Eye Relief SVD
Long Eye Relief VFC

And a link to the full pack:
Full Pack (~8MB)

The above .zip includes:
- All sights as 800x600 .png files.
- All sights as 800x600 .pdn Paint.NET project files.
- The image from Wikipedia used by me as a reference

Thanks to the Servers where I took the screenshots, and to all of those in the chat messages.

Thanks also to the Deuce who said "OMG, are you the same generaljoe who made the sexy sights?". Without him, my morale would be on the floor.
