Many of the forum members are young, and this is definitely not the place to be advertising vodka, weed and the general notion of getting drunk.
You are posting drunk and you're an administrator for goodness' sake.
If you really want to get drunk or whatever, keep it to yourself and don't advertise it to the community.

I hope that a certain half of you posters are all joking... the other half, you're right, there's a reason alchohol and weed aren't (usually) perscribed as antidepressants.

Kaede- I so fucking agree.. I'd never let my girlfriend drink for her depression.. she's pretty young, but she use to drink for a short period, and the sad thing is her parents wont even get her antis... so she suffers without them, and her mom's the main cause of it all.. but simply being in a relationship with her makes her a lot more stable. Why would people ever use depressants to fix their depression... why not find the reason they're depressed and try to fix it... why not trust medication that works? I can't stand when people are addicted to drugs/and or alcohol.. Get some help Lexsym.. <3.. :/

Giving yourself dopamine is a short-term fix. That's why eating, drinking alcohol, getting high makes you feel good. It's the dopamine. Dopamine, as you all should know, is the chemical that tells our brain to feel pleasure. It's the reward chemical we get when we do things that our brain thinks is good for our bodies. Alcohol and drugs are like hax for our brain, to make it think we're giving it something good, when actually, it's really bad.

So you can't compare a quick-fix high with medicines specifically designed to fix chemical imbalances within our brain. The first is more destructive than the latter.
