I know that feel, I was the highest rank while the rank cap was still in place before my friends from highschool were. After the cap was lifted me and my friends all leveled up at the same time steadily, playing invasion, Trolling on team arena just to fuck with people who actually took it seriously, and just straight out kicking ass in swat.

Oh that reminds me check this out. I did worked on this for a while then lacked any motivation to continue what I originally intended to do with the map and just released it as aesthetic. Remind you of something else? Yeah the map lexsym keeps telling me to work on and I don't end up doing it.

Red Dead Redemption is fucking amazing

Yeah, I'm only a warrant officer... JK, No I'm a Colonel Grade 2. I stopped since my friends lost interest in the game, however I still do love the game. Just waiting until a new map pack comes out. Then we'll all play it again. I even have all of the original achievements.

@Gregery, me and my friend used to play swat on reach and just dominate by ourselves, then i stopped playing after i got the helmet i wanted(gungnir) he asked me to join him a few times, and I declined. I assume everyone by now is at least legend while i'm still a brigadier, and mythic is ridiculously far away to get the attachments for gungnir. So yeah i'm done.

Hexen, for the N64. Good times were had. And obviously Halo.

Mirror's Edge was fun but it was waaaaaayyy too fucking short. Disappointingly short, I finished it within 4 hours on my first play through.

infamous 2 really wasn't as good as i had hoped. I've collected all the blast shards and dead drops, and i'm finishing up the evil ending, give me 1 reason i should replay the entire game again on hard? It's so boring that it's not worth the platnium trophy.

I own Arma II, along with OA and BAF, and I do enjoy the multiplayer aspect of it. However, the single player is too fiddly. I can't command my men for shit, and I invariably get stuck on some vehicle mission because I can't control a tank or truck whilst being a passenger.

I don't have a definite favourite... I just play the games that people at my school are to meatheaded to play.
E.g:
Me: Hey guys! check out this awesome game called ace of spades! it's like minecraft.
Friends: NO it's not COD, It's not assasins creed, it's not just cause, it's not minecraft etc.
Me: but you'll like it.
Friends: no. because we don't play great games we just play shitty gay stuff.

maybe I exaggerated a bit but my point is they don't like thinking (or playing) outside the box.

My other friend also hates everything japanese, he was playing dead rising 2 and a japanese guys name was in the opening credits and he was like: "WHAT!? japanese! this game is gonna suck now!" .

I could never narrow down one favourite game, so here are some that I love;

Dwarf Fortress - It contains alcoholic midgets. What's not to love?

Transport Tycoon Deluxe - I first discovered this game when I was 7, so it has a strong nostalgic factor for me.

Rollercoaster Tycoon - Designing the perfect rollercoaster, go-kart track and hedge maze felt oh-so-rewarding. As well as drowning angry/skint kids.

Oblivion - I've sank many, many hours into this game. As Kaede-Chan said, though, I played it with mods and, after getting a new PC, I don't have the patience to download it, and download a shitload of mods, and fiddle on with Wrye Bash and OBSE to get them to work since I can't go back to vanilla. Skyrim does look awesome, though, and may well displace Oblivion when mods similar to OOO come to it.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising - Again, another major timesink for me. Got panned by players of the previous OpFlash games but this was my first taste of the series and I loved it. I did spend more time on the mission editing side once I switched from console to PC, though.

Gang Garrison 2

Half life (all of them especially 1, OF and 2), Serious Sam second encounter, Red Alert 2,Fallout 2,3,NV, Civ3, Aliens vs predator 2,I very much adore all valve singleplayer or zombie shit.

Ugh I just remembered the geyser boss

The last boss was so fucking hard. But after it was so satisfying to beat. I probably finished the game about 5 times, but haven't played it since forever because my sister has my ps2. I don't think I could choose a favourite boss from the game, but my least favourite was that thing that in that dark area that shoots fucking fire and does those huge annoying stomps.

One of my favourite parts of the game was beating it enough times and gaining enough strength to climb up the temple to the secret garden on top.

The flying bosses were amazing. Absolutely hated the last one though.

A lot of the games already mentioned are in my favorites list, such as SotC and HL2.

One of my absolute favorite games ever is Spelunky; it is incredibly immersive, not just for a 2D platformer but for any game. The controls are perfect and as far as physics go, everything behaves exactly the way it should.
