Server Timeout: Version Mismatch or Map Transfer Fail"

Can anybody explain what this means? I have done everything along the lines of allowing it to connect. I can not connect to any servers.

Also, when I create a server, after I set it up (with port forwarded) after like 10 seconds it disconnects me. I would read all the things it says to make sure of but it gets cut off after like the 13th word in cmd >.> That would be a nice fix to/

This game is so much fun and I always enjoy the time I play, so please help asap..
