You have to remove it from the folder first, edit it, then place it back. That's what happened to me.

Make sure that you aren't playing the game when saving it.

Edit; Kaede is probably more right than me, but you should recycle your computer, don't toss it out.

You don't want the earth to look like this just because you didn't recycle.

What's your operating system?
Are you logged in as an administrator?
Is the file read-only for some stupid reason?

Check up on all those and then try to change it. If you still can't, throw your computer in the garbage.
