This is likely the easiest to make add on idea. It is a quick fix that shouldn't take too long to perfect. Add more effects.
All you need to do is add a few things like add a little smoke to a grenade or shells from the gun that disappear a few seconds after hitting the ground. And if we want to get a little crazy maybe a little reload animation and a dropping clip.
