<description><p>Alot of the servers you see running all the time are on dedicated servers rather than on home computers.<br />
This is a paid service, and the server can be quite far away from the person who owns the rights of use to it.<br />
(Bear in mind that these servers are most likely being used for some other purpose(s) than just AoS server hosting though).</p>
<p>Other than dedicated servers, some have large internet plans with plenty of bandwidth and just leave their pc (or a home-built server) running 24/7.
