akseltorgerson: You mean you want to put in your own custom map? You don't necessarily have to write the map metadata (.txt files), you can just drop your .vxl into the 'maps' folder and then set the map in the config.

Hubble: Ah! Hehe :)

Lexsym: I'm not the only developer on this project, and I don't necessarily deal with the map C++ problems. Also, there are other issues in the issuetracker we are working on, so we tend to forgot about problems if they're not in there.

Sasquatch: Thanks a lot! I will commit them to the repository soon.

Why would he fill in a ticket if you (the developer) are aware of it, and he's saying it's a issue? Makes no sense to tell the developer twice about the same problem. Especially when the developer is aware of it as well.

Since 50% of all Ace of Spades servers are currently using pyspades, I guess it's time to make a proper topic about it (instead of the now dead WIP topic).

pyspades is an open-source project which primarily provides a cross-platform, feature-packed and completely modifiable server.

The project is located at http://code.google.com/p/pyspades

A quick-start guide on setting up a server can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/pyspades/wiki/QuickStart

The win32 binary builds can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/pyspades/downloads/list

Bugs/suggestions/etc. go in the issue tracker: http://code.google.com/p/pyspades/issues/list

Serverlists supporting pyspades listing:
Morthor's serverlist: http://iammorthor.com/aos/
The pyspades serverlist: http://mp2.dk/aos

I would like to thank all of the people who have contributed with ideas, code and everything else so far. It's amazing to see how some people appear from nowhere and start hacking on the code and upload project art. Without your help, the 50% milestone would probably never have been reached. Thank you!
