All-in-all nobody with an ounce of common of intelligence likes this idea. Good, now we can scrap it and move on to actually preventing hacking and providing better admin tools LIKE WE SHOULD BE DOING.

Good idea, make it HARDER to get into a server based on something arbitrary.

Better have a feature watching for frivilous -reps, because a lot of people, including current griefers, are gonna abuse the heck out of that.

This is me assuming, because we really don't know fuck all about it but

It sounds like an easily exploitable system(gaining or losing rep) that would just encourage elitism and alienate new players. Anti-cheat measures, admin tools, and players voting to kick/ban players should be able to handle undesirables

great idea, would totally stop greifers and other people that nobody likes.
But if im thinking what Lokiamis is saying, what if some retard just banned everyone who joined? that would ruin it...

You should start at a reputation that gets you in to any server. The more bans you get the more your reputation goes down and you are able to join fewer servers.

Well, if you have a minimum rep cap, we're going to see every server have a minimum rep of say 10 and nobody will be able to play because they're all starting on 0.

But you would have to work your way up to play on "high rank" servers.

So you would have to work your way up.

It would be up to responsible admins. If you are not liked on a server, wither stop being a dick, or leave the server.

It wont work. When you have a free game, it's so easy to just register again and your rep will be reset.

IP/MAC address tracking isn't an option either, you can forge both.

Plus, what's stopping people from being falsely banned/kicked because an admin didn't like them? Or someone accused them of griefing and everyone bandwagoned on to it.
