Hmm, that's true Chuck_Steak. But for the right click, how would players then copy the color of the blocks?

I definitely support concrete blocks, but rather than being a separate item, it should be the right click of the normal block and just consume 5 blocks rather than 1 when placed.

well i think instead of using all the arrows to change the color of the block,
left & right to toggle color
up & down for type

another thing i think should be in the game is damage from falling blocks
so people will think twice before distorting a tower as soon as its done

Ladder definitely, but it should be couple of hits to take out maybe. New blocks are definitely a good idea.

+3

ladders being the weakest link in the 3, thought about harder blocks myself (mainly to help define a temp base(shore/hill forts) vs a perm base (intel).

glass of some kind is definatly needed since it would give the ability to make windows in bunkers a little less grenade prone.

I like the idea for the window blocks. I'm sure everyone here has suffered a headshot by just quickly passing by an opening in the ground.

Ah, true, and now I agree with you. They should be weaker than normal blocks, maybe 2 hits with rifle, 1 with nade, 1 with spade and 3 with picaxe?

Respect points are lame :P

If the ladders get incorporated with your stats, you'd often see just ladders floading in mid air due to buildings getting destroyed and ladders getting spared due to being so resilient.

After thinking about new block selection, I think your idea sounds better.

Hmh, yes, I thought the ladders to be strong, since it could be quite annoying to get stuck in a high tower time after time. Well, for realism yes.

About the scrolling, I just wanted to have the different block styles in blocks-tool, because that wouldn't look too good, if all the block styles were in top, where all the other weapons/tools are. Maybe 5/6/7 in blocks-tool?

The window block sounds like a solid idea.

For ladder blocks, I think that they should actually be less durable than normal blocks, as ladders are usually the weakest point in a building. They should also be available upon spawning. Cheers for referincing me :3

Concrede blocks are a good idea too.

The only real gripe I have with your ideas is scrolling between them. They should be given their own keybinds rather than first pressing 3 and then Q or E. Your current idea is from what I know also more complicated to code. They should be available on keys 6, 7 and 8, respectively.

If there would be some new block styles, it would add a lot to the gameplay, as I said in another thread. Now, don't disagree immediatly. Think about it, try to IMAGINE it, how could it be bad? Of course there shouldn't be a big mess of them, only few.

1.Window blocks. It would be breakable with one picaxe hit, with two rifle hits, and players couldn't pass it of course. The thing it offers, is that players could sneak on window without being shot immediatly. Also, it could be just fancy. 5 blocks in spawn, 10 blocks from tent.

2.Ladder blocks. (Actually the idea is by Lester) They would be breakable with 10 spade or picaxe hits, 15 rifle hits and one nade hit. Would be useful in deep mines, or in towers. Also it could be just fancy as the window. Not availiable in spawn, but from tent 10 blocks.

3.Concrete blocks. Would be a bit more strong than normal blocks, and could be useful in those bunker windows, but this is seconded. No blocks in spawn, from tent players could get 10.

Players could scroll between these blocks with Q and E. Feel free to discuss, and add new block-ideas.
Here are the views how they could look:
window http://dardar.de/bilder/images/windowbloc.bmp
ladder http://dardar.de/bilder/images/ladderbloc.bmp
Concrete blocks would look just as normal blocks :)
