I think ch1k3n~ want to know what a voxed.exe is. To put it simply it's a map editor that uses voxels (described in posts above) as a part of terrain. There is a manual in the same folder as voxed so you should check it out.

Do you mean voxed? It's the map editor for AoS (Voxel Editor). It's very hard to use since you have to learn all the key bindings and you can't change them. Get voxed companion, it makes voxed easier to use.

You can also use a program called Slab6, which is mainly used for making weapon mods. You'll have to import what you make into voxed if you're making a map though.

There is also a minecraft to vxl editor on the forums too. Just use the search link at the top of the page.

Yup, people can make custom maps and object skins using "voxel editors". The same way you might work on art for a pixel game with MSPAINT

You might be asking the wrong question. The engine rendering all these voxels and running the game for you, Chiken, was origionally intended for a space game i think (thus the crazy camera).

Its been used in a few demos by Kevin i think his name is, the developer of this engine called Voxlap if i remember correctly. (Either that or it is the Render type)

Voxels are the blocks you see in AOS, they can be rendered as spheres, cubes, dots and flat 2D versions of these. (That is what AOS uses, the flat 2D version for terrain and weapons. Thusly you can see through the floor at some angles.)
How ever, the bounding box of the Voxel is still there. There are a couple different uses for the Voxel style of game, mostly seen in cave-like exploration mini games.

Oh and one bad ass version of Wolfenstein for the PC
