Just now saw the monitor model. What kind of spray did you use? Are you able to use something like a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol along the sides of the button?

Hmm, I was assuming one of the buttons would be physically stuck (trust me, I have the very same monitor), but looks like the spray messed up something as well.

Guess you should wait.

You should go have some popcorn and take a walk around the block and if it still isn't fixed by then, take a shower, read a book, and take a nap. That should fix the problem. Trust me.

Read: Don't worry about stuff, that's what I do.

What kind of spray was it? I'm confused as to what you mean by "buttons on the desktop" if you were cleaning the monitor. Do you mean your keyboard?

Sorry I might be a bit slow, really tired.

Pretty sure. Sometimes, electronics have a habit of fixing themselves like that. We had a TV and I put a magnet on it and it had a big discolored spot on it for like an hour, but it fixed itself.

The liquid got into it and is completing the circuits as if you're pressing the buttons. Just wait until it dries and it should be fine. Take a hairdryer to it if you're that worried.

My sister was cleaning my moniter (HP w2207), and got some of the spray in the buttons on the desktop. Now my volume button acts if it's pressed down, and when I press menu or + it's goes away, and comes back after 2 seconds. How do i fix this problem quickly and easily? This restricts me from playing one of my favorite games becuase the pop-up is right in the center so please help. :)
