I've had worse then just any grieving. I've had most people on the server on our side grieving and taking everything down after about half an hour of in only being three people. That is when it's truly annoying.

Yes. We defiantly need accounts. They should be free, and tied to an email. Get banned, stay banned. Greifers don't care enough to make a new email and account so they can get banned again. It takes 5 min to make an account, but only 20 seconds to grief and get banned.

Also, devas makes me want to hurt myself for being of the same species.

I am starting to have my doubts regarding whether you are actually serious or not.

Don't underestimate the sheer dedication trolls have anywhere on the internet, that's one of their qualities. Not all IP addresses are static, in fact most aren't and it is horrible practice to tie a user/account to a specific IP with the intent of using that as an effective way to ban somebody. Another thing to realize is that an IP is not necessarily the same thing as a person. It's quite common for multiple people to use the same IP, which leaves the chance of all of them being banned for the actions of a single person.

Here are some of my thoughts regarding the registration system idea that's been floating around.

That was not what I meant. Its not that you can only login in on that account using a certain IP address, it is that those two are linked and when the account gets banned the IP gets blocked with it(yes, I know you will still be able to get around it by creating a zillion accounts with different IP addresses, but even then you will run out of them after a while, if you haven't already stopped because it is so damn tedious).

"1337101: Changing your IP is as simple as restarting your modem. It's better just to have email registration with bans against an account AND the IP that was using the account at the time. That way a troll has to restart their modem (or use a proxy, or any of a variety of other ways to get a new IP) and get a new email address to get back into the game. It's not all that hard to do those, but it takes a bit of time. If people can get kicked from the game quickly enough, they'll spend more time trying to get into the game than actually griefing."

That is also an alternative.
