There were mines in World war I (I think) So I think it would make a nice addition to the game. They should be obviously hidden, but not well enough to just step over a block and go "WTF-BOOM!" There should be a little bump on the block or something so an unsuspecting fool might trip on it and explode to little bloody ribbons.
