PC: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Reason: I really dislike the multiplayer. I just hate how I get put against level 50s when I'm only level 7. The campaign was cheesy, no real story. Just some guy screaming 'WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN!?' and then combat. Modern Warfare 1 was the best CoD game I ever owned.

OMG! My gf and I downloaded DOSbox just to play that game, and lemmings! It is called Thors Hammer, and is a great game!

i am not sure what you guys mean by 'nothing is original, anymore', a lot of stuff is original, come on , look at battlefield 3, that game isnt call of duty and uses directx 11

i think that lttp was the best i've played, i don't think i've beaten it. but you know , it is not some large goal i have, but i guess i could probably just finish it in a few moments, someday. i will have to try out the 2nd one more, i really liked it, from what i remember.

i'm just wondering, does anybody remember a game like zelda 1, but you played as some guy with a hammer ? i think it was called thor's hammer, or something like, the quest for thor's hammer. but it was really cool, i think it used to be in some linux package manager, but i can't find it anymore

because we all know steampunk was NOT created by jules-verne at the turn of the century.

Besides, just because something is original to a zelda game doesn't mean its original PERIOD. The zelda franchise wouldn't feel the same without fairies and boomerangs and get dungeon item to defeat boss of said dungeon mechanics. Its not "stale" as gameplay elements are constantly being tweaked to make each game feel fresh or unique.

p.s. Metroid:Other M is a prime example of how straying too far from the game formula can RUIN the game completely.

p.p.s. NOTHING is original anymore (well, pretty much) its an individuals interpretation and telling off the data already in existence thats unique and interesting. I still have no clue how you can compare OoT to lttp...I have never seen anybody do that before you kaeda, and yours is not the popular opinion NOR understanding.

OoT=Lttp > MM=TP > WW >zelda1&2

^That should be your OBVIOUS opinion (as far as console zeldas go), although claiming WW is better then TP is acceptable, but from a technical standpoint, no.

the boat was boring, dungeons were sparse
the islands felt small, some dungeons felt clunky in design (im looking at your forrest temple, even though I LOVED playing as makar, my GF even made me a makar plush with a dingly bell in it!)

Seems to me your only problem with OoT is that it followed the "basic" dungeon pattern. I would assume you think TP is even worse then (turning into a wolf isnt original hurr its just like the dark world in lttp durr)

I guess every story with a princess who gets saved by a prince is just a clone of all the other stories since it follows the general story arc. Same thing goes for action movies and romantic comedies, not to mention horror movies! NOTHING IS ORIGINAL ANYMORE! I had a SNES and N64 but I never got a Zelda game.

All OoT did was revolutionize 3D Zelda. Just because it was the first 3D Zelda, does not make it the best. Take for example: Ford, creating the first automobile. Is Ford the best car? No.

OoT was basically copypasta of LttP, in 3D form. 3 Beginning dungeons, a "dark" world with 7 additional dungeons (Musn't forget the well and ice cavern), to get to gannon, to save the princess, who was also, ironically, trapped in a crystal.

WW was a completely 100% fresh take on Zelda with no real borrowed gameplay and story elements from any previous titles. The combat was incredible, with actual techniques Link could learn. OoT was basically mash B as fast as possible.

If you disagree with the points I've made there, you clearly need to take the nostalgia goggles off. OoT was a great game, but WW takes the cake as the best Zelda ever made.

I would like kaeda to explain in EXCRUCIATING detail why she believes OoT (one of if not the most critically acclaimed videogames OF ALL TIME) isn't as good as WW (received almost perfect scores and mixed feeling from players across the board, not to mention it was rushed and the final stretch of the game was lacking content)

if you were to say WW > TP then that would be a fair opinion, but saying WW > OoT is just ridiculous! Next you are going to say MM wasn't a REAL zelda game and you dont think the zelda cd-i games were all that bad.

But on topic. "Shrek: Fairy Tale Freakdown" Was one of the worst games I've ever played.

With the mention of Star Fox, I am reminded of Star Fox Command for the DS.

Was it the gameplay that screwed the game over? Hardly, the gameplay was decent, fun even.

The problem here was the storylines and the 100%+ screwification with the characters.

Although the storylines were easy to follow with little to no confusion with the exception of weird things appearing here and there, they were absolutely terrible and about 76% drama between Fox and Krystal. Sure, I guess I like those characters, and their relationship is... Interesting... But The way it was put together into character speech was awful. The story endings were terrible and told of characters doing things they really wouldn't seem to do with the personalities they've had in the past. Just remembering them makes me cringe a little... Bleh.

Character personalities in this game... Fox is basically emo over the whole game, you can basically feel him sulking when you read the text. Sulk, maybe okay once in a while, ONCE, but the whole game is leaving a whole new impression on his character. There's even an ending where he won't even eat his damn food because he's too busy crying about Krystal, who is a stuck up bitch now instead of the sweet, all-I-mean-is-good personality she did have. And- oh hey paragraphs.

I was talking about the Dark Link in the Water Temple from OoT.

I never liked any of the Tony Hawk games, or any games of that sort.

OoT isn't as good in comparison to a few of the Zelda games out now, but it was the beginning of something good for sure.

Also, another game I don't understand existing for other than money. Tony Hawk American Wasteland for 360. The stuff that was on the 64 and PS1 were understandable for being crappish, but to see it not improve on the 360 is kinda sad... Plus I'm 17 now so it really doesn't appeal to me anymore anyways.

Sorry. But OoT is the best zelda game of all time. Not to mention while WW was good, it was rushed, and therefore the final stretch of the game was very sparse with dungeons and the whole thing with finding triforce pieces felt thrown together. There was supposed to be 3 more dungeons before the final dungeon, but no. The game is almost an epic game because of that. On the other hand OoT had no glaring issues with the pacing or narrative. Still has one of the best original soundtracks in ANY videogame of all time, and received far more acclaim then WW did.

p.s. Zelda 2 wasn't THAT hard. Try playing ninja gaiden or silver surfer on the nes.

I see now why we NEED critics, its so people will listen to their educated opinions about good media (from an objective, technical standpoint) instead of people with bad opinions (because I am seeing a lot of good/great games getting bashed for STUPID reasons)

i forgot about combat arms. i never played it, but it always looked like a terrible game, especially when they added the whole "nut shot" thing, it just made me not want to play it even more

I can't think of any at the moment. I have a limited list of games, and if I buy any today it would be because I hear a lot of agreeably good things about it. I was fortunate to not have any really crappy games for my retro consoles as well, or I learned to love them anyway.

Idk if this counts, since it's free to play, but Combat Arms would be the worst game i ever played. I mean, the gameplay and graphics arent bad, but they give you so many advantages for buying in game stuff with irl money that if you dont have it, you get steamrolled by people that do.Don't forgot that most of the Combat Arms community are assholes anyway that yell "HACKER" and votekick you everytime you kill them.
