<description><p>Private servers are great for LAN and just people who don't want to have lots of people on their server. Invite only type of thing.  </p>
<p>I do see it happening as a party type of system.

<p>The Team Balance is a bad idea because of this scenario:</p>
<p>Bob: "Let's Play Ace of Spades Bill! We can be on the same team!"<br />
Bill: "Alright! Let's go!"</p>
<p>(In-game)</p>
<p>Bob: "Come Green."<br />
Bill: "Okay, I'm Green."</p>
<p>(Auto-balance)<br />
(Bob is now on the Blue Team.)</p>
<p>Bob: "Wtf, now I'm Blue."<br />
Bill: "Switch back."<br />
Bob: "Wow it won't let me, fucking auto balance."<br />
Bill: "Bad Game."

<p>I'd like to see some enforced standardization in this game to a degree, so that this doesn't succumb to the syndrome of all old online multiplayer FPS games where it is impossible to find a vanilla server. Since /v/ is doing their hardest to make this very new game very old, this doesn't seem unfathomable.

<description><p>I never want to see this game have a win condition. Why would you want the map to reset when you spend so many hours modifying it for your team's benefit?</p>
<p>It's a very zen game, currently. You can just keep killing and building forever, and you know which team is winning, and they can be winning forever. Until the server inevitably resets or the game updates, of course.

<description><p>As a Game Server host.</p>
<p>I know what games are like.</p>
<p>This is what you all should expect from this game.</p>
<p>First.  Server side is getting recoded.  This is a good thing.</p>
<p>Ben has made a basic game. Now he is developing it more by making the code, newer.</p>
<p>So as of many game servers.</p>
<p>What you are going to see is server variables.</p>
<p>HostName My Epic AOS Server<br />
Players 32<br />
Gametype "Not 100% on this one."</p>
<p>Team balance. On / Off<br />
Anti Cheat. On / Off  ( IDK why)<br />
MaxScore ###   ]<br />
MaxTime ###    ] These are for when the server map has been used. This will reload the server map and players will start again. Admins would be able to turn this off.<br />
BIND 8.8.8.8  ( This is what your server IP will be. External or internal. This is great for server hosts EG me :P )<br />
PORT 32887 ( I personally don't think this should be added. If you don't own/run a server in a data-centre with more than 1 IP, you are more than likely hosting from home on a home internet connection. Even "FAST SPEED INTERNET" is not as good as data-centre's connection! )</p>
<p>PLUGINS anti-grief serveradmin ( Plugins are massive, They enable users to developer servers. This is a MUST! )</p>
<p>That is what I see coming from the server side development of this game.</p>
<p>You might not like it but I guarantee you this is going to happen.</p>
<p>If you feel like I might have missed something, please say @Jackster to get my attention.</p>
