@Kaede: Platforming, puzzle-solving, really anything that isn't combat. Obviously not a good feature for AoS.

In my opinion the Resident Evil series has a few good examples of good 3rd person shooting. Silent Hill also has some shooting but the focus isn't on combat.

There is no way 3rd person would work in AoS.

Star Wars Shadow of the Empire (N64) did 3rd person shooting with auto aim pretty okay.

The only way that third-person and guns work together is if there's auto-aim, and the only way that works is if the focus isn't on combat in the first place.

well,thanks for atleast telling me it was'nt possible i asked because i really suck at FPS's that are'nt like easily played most of the time,kinda like halo,but im really good at other games like global agenda so i asked and got trolled.

There's actually two guys right in front of the camera. You can't see my real icon in the minimap, because I painted over it and colored one of the two white icons blue. Minimap close up.

Well, in first person mode in Oblivion, your character is a floating torso with arms. Only when you switch to third person does your character actually have a full body.

are you sure that is the way it works ? it seems like that might be true, because you can't see yourself when you look down, but i haven't read anywhere stating this.

because i know for some things, all you really have to do is change some stuff. i remember i was watching a tutorial for making a FPS in blender, a while ago, and the guy switched it from first person to third in a few seconds

Your character's model doesn't actually exist to you. There'd be nothing to see even if a hack for moving the camera was possible.

In other words, you are quite literally a floating gun.
