Final bump before I give up on AoS :(

I know, it's quite frustrating because it's been doing this since the early updates of the game and I thought it might be a widespread problem but it turns out IT'S JUST ME. And I reckon I'll just not ever be able to play the game. :(

could be possible one or more of the files are corrupt, you could always try reinstalling/repairing and see if that works.

edit:oh you tried reinstalling, not sure then.

I have the semi and smg.kv6 and png. Strangely I didn't crash on gun select one time earlier but then about 10 seconds into the game I got the windows 'Can't do it' sound, the game froze and whenever I pressed a button the sound repeated.

I have no mods.

I have already reinstalled my game about 10 times.

I don't think it actually has something to do with the guns, I just think that the game is crashing after 30 seconds to 2 minutes ingame. I'm stuck for ideas as to how to fix this, hence why I asked here.

Check the KV6 folder, and look to see if you have a semi.kv6 and an smg.kv6. If not, then that could be the reason. OR, if you have them both, it could be anything in the KV6 folder or anything in the PNG folder. The game crashes when it cannot find a certain model or .png file (from what I've experienced, at least).

If you're too lazy, just backup your weapon mods and scopes and reinstall the game.

Bump. Please can someone give me some advice, this game looks like great fun and I really want to play! :(

I've had many problems with this game and quit for a while, now i've come back to see how it's doing and I have a major softlock problem whenever I select my gun, and sometimes the old grey-everything bug.

OS:Windows 7
GPU:AMD HD5770
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
RAM: 4GB DDR2

I'm running the game as admin in windows XP compatibility mode; that's all I've tried so far. What else can I do?
