Run cCleaner and run the registry part of it.

I have the exact same problem, and I did that test:
Packet Loss: 0%
Ping: 20ms
Jitter: 1ms
the firewall is open, I dont even HAVE a antivirus to interfere with AOS, and I have tried reinstalling.

I think you might have severe packet loss issues. You see, if you're behind a lossy connection, the server sends packets and some just don't get to you.

Do a pingtest here http://www.pingtest.net/ and report the results. I'm expecting a fairly high packet loss percentage.

You could also try fiddling with your firewall, even turning it off temporary to see if it's the cause of the problem.

Did exactly what you told me to, Jackster.

I had cc cleaner before, ran it, removed the game, installed it again.

Tried to join a server.

Same exact thing happened.

Download a program called cCleaner.

Run the registry cleaner.

Then reinstall the game.

I also tried deleting my .CT file and im on .36 beta program

The progress bar moves at the most halfway through then the stupid error appears and im back to zero. I have seen no long pauses so i dont think that's the problem. I have tried other servers and it has the same problem. the servers i tried to join in are like 70-100 only.

Did you see the progress bar move at all during the download? If there's a long enough pause in downloading, it'll quit. Have you tried other servers? Also ping times are relative to Houston, TX I believe so don't always rely on those.

Hi, I recently installled the game and i was excited to try it until I joined a server and then the screen turned black and started dl-ing the map.(which is expected i believe) Then, it will say server timeout :version mismatch or map transfer fail.

I have removed my antivirus and firewall while running.
I also opened the port to something if that is needed.
Please help me!
