Yeah I was playing with some of the advanced voxed features last night (like if you press p you can load a .png and project it onto a surface), which gave me the idea for most of the stuff on the list.

I was just thinking about this last night... good suggestions.

Also, a simpler way of converting other related files into .kv6/.vxl would be helpful as well.

Slab6 is cool, voxed is cool, but they have some major shortfalls. If you could please fix them everyone in the AoS community would be SuperHappy, and we'd have a more active map making community.

-Slab6 should be able to import other Slab6 files: when you press *U* in voxed, you can import kv6 and kvx files, but there's no analog for Slab6. Which means if I want to make something like a building with repeated structures, I have to make the same thing manually.

-Slab6 should support 16 million colors: it should have the same color range as .vxl files, you know you want to do it, and our computers can definitely handle the extra databytes.

-You should be able to import chunks of voxed maps into Slab6: if you could convert a box (defined by two numbered cursors) into a kvx file, or something you could open in Slab6, it would definitely help integrate the two programs. For example you could import a chunk of terrain into Slab6, build a building on it, then import *that* file back into the voxed map.

-voxed should be able to import .bmp files to use as a texture map: the png projection tool is really really cool, but most of the time we just need to paint a 512x512 bitmap to directly color the surface.

-terrain lowering/raising brush for voxed: this is something alot of top down terrain generators have, and it'd be neat to see it in-program, maybe together with a "terrain smoothing" tool.

-ability to leave the voxed window without closing the program

-voxed support for larger map sizes than 512x512: if we ever start getting vehicle maps this'll be important.

Thanks for reading, that's all I can think of right now. Let me know if anyone makes maps regularly and thinks these would improve things.
