I watched Kiershar's tutorials on Minecraft and he taught me anything and everything I need to know about minecraft. I had an epic city build all by my self, 90 diamonds and a full set of diamond armor and tools, over 50 iron blocks, and much more. I couldn't really do much, I had practically everything. So I turned to AoS. :P

I play both, it's a stupid argument really.

I played Minecraft and found it quite boring and repetitive. Not to mention the things Notch has done (like charging moderators to fix his game). I don't see how you could compare it to AoS, though.

AoS used to be one of my favourites in the versions before .4, now it's just a very fun game. I like the fanbase here more, especially earlier on, where it was mostly people who were 16. Now it's still got a better fanbase, but there's a lot more younger people now.

i hardly play minecraft now that AoS came out. plus minecraft gets old quickly

but in Mine Craft you still can make guns like AK - 47's and Dimond ShotGuns

But i like the community (well sort of) so when the better computer that runs MC comes along, I'll still play AoS.

If my computer could've ran MineCraft properly, I wouldn't have even came here.

Minecraft 1.8 will seem the best for me

The newest Minecraft update looks like it's going to be fun as hell.

New height limit, bigger oceans, new mobs, new dungeons, adventure!

Minecraft has a total shit community, a total shit programming team (I'm looking at you notch...), and lacks many basic features and fixes... That being said, its still fun as hell. If I had to live with just one game, I think I'd choose Minecraft. The replay value is so high, and I get this sense of adventure when I explore (my favorite thing to do).

Minecraft or AoS? I think both. I don't have Minecraft but it's a fun game from what ive seen and AoS is fun too :D

Since i found out about Aos from the minecraft forums, its a pretty good game, and I still play on a build server regularly. But PvP servers in minecraft suck. "No griefing other peoples buildings" is not pvp. Your supposed to burn shit to the ground.

also, whom says you cannot compare two different games, there is nothing wrong in saying that something like aoe2 is better than fallout new vegas, you are just being honest. i think that 1.8 or whatever might be good, because the combat system before was very bad in minecraft, and didn't really work very well at all

If minecraft was the singleplayer to Ace of Spades' multiplayer, we'd have the ultimate first person voxel building game right there.

2 different styles of gaming no comparison ...

I play both, and I enjoy both for different reasons.
It's difficult to compare the two, but you can contrast things..

Minecraft is much better and more interesting for buildings, and there's a challenge in getting the materials, tools and crafting ingredients in order to make it look the way you want. AoS on the other hand has building designed for quick and fairly easy creation of huts/bunkers to aid the objective - I would neither want to or attempt creating the stuff I make in Minecraft, into AoS. AoS also makes the destruction of enemy structures a fun task, which unfortunately turns to their own team by a few idiots trying to ruin the game for their team.

Gameplay is completely different too. I like AoS' fast shooter gameplay, yet I also enjoy the tranquillity that comes with being a 'master sculptor' in Minecraft.

I enjoy both, for entirely different reasons.

AoS is funnier to play, but Minecraft is more entertaining for me.

Wait. Trying to compare different genres just because they both use voxels?

That's like comparing Skyrim to MW3 because they both have polygons in.

But for posterity's sake, AoS is more fun than MineCraft, although I'm looking forward to MineCraft v1.8.

I love minecraft, I like to make things, plus I can do it without an a-hole tearing my things up. Better yet, it has single player so I dont have to put up with whining and 'hax omg!!!!11!' and such.

I love shooting games and AoS is one of my favorites though, dont get me wrong.
