Server is now down. Went through Waaaaaaaay more bandwidth than I thought it would, and I'm on Comcast and so have a bandwidth cap. Sorry guys.

The connection is what I was worrying about. It's a Comcast cable residential connection, so it only gets 1-3 megs upstream, and it looks like it (AoS) is using 1.8-2.2 at a time. I have the rather strange situation of having several dedicated servers at my house (A mix of rackmount and converted desktops) and the only problem I ever really have is upstream bandwidth. I was actually surprised at how many people have jumped on my server in such a short amount of time (Seems to be constantly full) and am not sure what to do about it.
And as for the speed test, I doubt it would be accurate without killing the bandwidth hog that is AoS server during the test, and I doubt the players would be happy with the sudden loss of their game XD

EDIT: Any way to make someone a 'prefered player' or something so they get login priority? I can't get in to my own server, it's always full and I don't want to start kicking (Which I believe also results in a short ban now) the innocent for my own needs.

Go to speedtest.net, and give us the results, so we can see how good your connection is. Your hardware seems fine.

Only reason you would get lag with this game is the internet connection you are hosting on.

Note to potential server hosts - server is using 22 megs of ram and 20-40%CPU on an AMD 2.1GHZ Dual-core when it is full (32 players). Much better than Minecraft-Kudos to the dev team.

Hello. I'm a fairly experienced server guy who discovered this game last night and threw up a server. I'll keep it up for as long as it stay's used (and my hardware situation is good enough for it) but I am a little curious about its performance. Any lag issues or anything like that?
