@Green_Beret: Ah, sorry about that, completely forgot. Changed the "letters/numbers/spaces" to a generalized "characters".

Remember, fifteen letters/numbers/spaces, maximum.

Spaces don't work. But underscore does for example.

And btw: It's only a problem because you installed it in the "program files"-folder on your system-partition. This folder is ...let's say..."better protected" by the OS. So you need real admin-rights to change a file there.

the easiest way is to just change the install path for AoS since every patch overrides the config.ini!

this way you dont need to redo this double-move procedere
another tip ... just zip/rar the config in place and every time you patch the game you just unpack the zip/rar and you got the old config.ini

Okay, there seems to be a problem with saving names in the folder. It'll give you crap for it, saying you can't.

The easiest way to remedy that, is to move the 'config.ini' to the Desktop, open it with Notepad, change your name, then move it back into the Ace of Spades folder. Remember, fifteen characters, maximum.

You should not be playing the game when u actually change the name in the file.
Close the game, make the change, start it again and check it.

I am attempting to change my name, but I'm a little confused. I went into the configuration file, but how do I save it (extension) and how do I make it effective?
