When I change it to read only it says that it worked. But when I go back into the proporites it is still in read only mode.

I don't have a lastmap.vxl file anywhere.

Sounds like a permissions issue.

Try to right click on the Ace of Spades program folder, click properties, uncheck "Read only"

Do the same for the lastmap.vxl file

Finally try deleting the lastmap.vxl

Ok, I did and it didn't work. Gave me the same error.

Reinstall the game.

Every time I try to join a server I get the error Couldn't open lastmap.vxl, what do I do to fix this.
